So Yas Forums, how is this game?

I used to play it back with it was semi pay to spin The wii versions are probably the best releases of the game unironically.

joel nooo

Pretty fun. Wii versions are good too but can be a bit frustration due to the AI being either complete shit or untouchable.

some characters are cute and funny

Pangya Mobile died not that long ago.
There might be news about the new Pangya M project later this year.

It only released in Thailand for some reason but it had a full english script and it was easy to play on their servers.
But on top of the limited release, the gacha rates were terrible, and after launching with 5 chapters in story mode they added 1 more after 6 months and no more for the last 16 months the servers were up.
I liked the music and the way it played though, it wasn't all bad.

I remember hearing years ago they were planning a mobile game but never heard anything else about it. I guess releasing it in only one country is why. So how many courses and characters did it have in the end?

6 courses and 7 characters, I think.
It used a tag team golf system where the first character hits, then the 2nd, then the 3rd, so you had to build up your whole team's stats, and 1/round you could call your friend's character to hit a shot.
Gacha wasn't for characters, it was for equipment, but you could still compete in events just by upgrading basic clubs and outfits.

Kinda like the PC version then. Pangya was pretty nice about not absolutely needing the gacha gear to win but some of those items did make life a lot easier.

>Your gachas this week are basketball, hip hop, and musketeers

Holy shit, a Pangya thread in 2020!
I miss it so much. I've yet to find a golf game that fills its hole perfectly. None have had the perfect combination of character dress up, amazing music, colorful courses and gameplay. The only private server I know of is behind on content but it really can't be helped iirc.

I didn't like the fact that you had to play 3 different characters and also get different equipment for each of them. It was extremely jewish. I wish they would just make a new game playable on PC and be less jewish with the gacha rates. It's no wonder they died when you have 10+ characters and very low rate of getting the outfits for the actual characters you use.

>not emulatable
PPSSPP is maybe the best emulator out there, but this sin is unforgivable.

Why have there been so many golf threads lately? Not that I really mind

You and me both. I'v tried other gold games but no other quite scratches the itch.
TLoU2 might be responsible due to a golf club being used as a murder weapon.

Extremely fun golf game with some cozy/relaxing tunes

>rated E10
>nipple bump

the games have a lot of anime fanservice, some costumes have cameltoe and one lady never wears shoes

Very noticeable jiggle physics too.

If you have a Vita, check out @field. It seems similar to Pangya, except you are able to control the golf ball with the Vita's accelerometers. It has a neat aesthetic to it, and remains one of the few games exclusive to the Vita.

ZERO FILL LOVE

This is neat, I wish I had a vita now.

Arin is cute
Kooh is cute and funny

I loved this game so much then I found out about a PC mmo but it wasn't the same then there was the mobage but it was such a hassle to install and even though I installed it and enjoyed it I stopped thinking a global server was coming...

...aaaaaany day now

I want to peak up Kooh's little skirt!

used to play this a bit, sucks that the servers went down. Which private servers are worth playing on? I played Celebrity a while ago but it was pretty buggy at the time from what I remember
