PC """gamers""" are cuckold sheep

They're the only ones making gsgs which are actually interesting and not aspergers logistics simulators

>Map painting that needs $200 worth of DLC is any better

Lack of competitors in their niche field.

What do you mean? Their last game was A disaster.

From what I gathered, anything but Vicky 3 won't satisfy most fans of Paradox, and that's the game that they have the least interest in ever making. They'd rather make another Stellaris or Cities Skylines. They don't have much love for the Victoria series.

They're the only ones making simulationist grand strategy games. CK2 is an unsurpassed ahistorical character driven grand strategy experience no other developer has come anywhere close to competing to. They effectively have a genre monopoly meaning those seeking are left with nowhere to go but Paradox. CrusaderKings3 will have the worst DLC policies we've seen yet and it'll still make crazy dosh because there's literally nothing like it being made by someone else who's relevant.

It's kind of like how no one really makes any other life sim game like The Sims or Animal Crossing, so EA and Nintendo have monopolies.

I wonder if they'll ever tackle the elephant in the room, which is the Spore of grand strategy games, a game that may span from the start of 10k years ago managing a tribe looking for a place to settle and start farming and domestication of animals, to the galatic level, even more, to a type 3 or 4 civilization.

this this this this. overflux of shit eating normies who will buy up everything as well

Brainlet consoomer that dont know how to pirate

user, this is the company that is afraid to make another economy-based grand strategy game that spans exactly one century. Maybe pull back a little.

Oh boy I just hope VTMB2 is great

>Implying that people who worked on Vicky 2 are in Paradicks now

Even if they aren't, the economy is always the shittiest and most poorly handled part of any of their new games, so I wouldn't expect greatness.

Ironically the economy is one of the most interesting parts to handle even if they usually make it shitty.

That's completely unfeasible at the practical, designer and technical level currently. You cannot span from the stone age to space age with the gradually evolving mechanisms and complexity of current Paradox games. They already manageabley struggle with trying to cover a few centuries per game. Civilization and 4X are only able to somewhat do that through sheer abstraction and universalization of mechanics. It's not feasible currently.

The DLCs are easy as shit to pirate. Just buy the base game and pirate the DLCs. You can even play multiplayer.

they are not, based johan has exposed them

It surely is not feassable if no one is attempting to do it.

I'd guess a development of 8 - 10 years with a static team of 80 - 100 people to develop something like this currently.

gonna hope it will be good

What about Humankind?

Ancient Cities?

They publish Cities Skylines you fucking retard, they don't make it.

Yet again, anti-Paradox shills proving that they don't even know what they're talking about.

They're the only one in their niche market

>prevents you from sharing your dlc
no you and all of your friends have to buy it all!
Buy our dlc bitches

>anti-Paradox shills
lmao the absolute state of paradrone shills. they're now trying to gaslight Yas Forums that their favorite company is under attack by shills

both of these are turned based and as much as like Knights of Honor these games arent going to replace any grand strategy games

>turn based

KoH2 says it's RTS on it's tags though.

Humankind seems to compete with Civ not with Paradox games.
