So, what exactly is the problem with the story?

It seems like you guys sperging out due to the story having grey to it. From what I seeing a lot of you are reacting from an emotional standpoint rather than if the plot proceeds in a logical way. I honesty interesting that the player takes control of his killer.

Move back to Israel, simp.

It's not inherently bad, but it looks like it'd be hard to do well.

And I'm not confident ND will do it well enough, but the game will still get 100/100 reviews and be praised as the game of the generation

What's funny is that there wouldn't have been any issue with the plot if abby resembled to an actual woman and not a roided shemale, her character design fucked up literally everything

Probably because Abby just curbstomps them both times. There's no struggle, no back and forth, no cat and mouse. Think of all the popular villains out there that people like. How many get away with everything and face no struggles whatsoever? I assume there's some sort of actual in-game boss fight. If the leaks had shown that, that might have gone over better. But just watching those cutscenes where she wails on them isn't satisfying. It lacks the satisfaction of conflict.

No one wants to see characters they like get brutally beaten and killed especially when they try make the character that does it one of the protagonists and attempt to make them sympathetic.

>grey
Oh you're a retard European, you wouldn't get it

Yeah the Internet is full of children who are crying because Joel and Ellie aren't gonna get a happy ending even though it was obvious at least one of them was going to die because the game world this series is set in is bleak and depressing as fuck. Also one of the characters looks funny.

Reality is that it's a risky, very interesting decision but if they flesh out the Abby character enough then maybe they'll pull it off. No point making assumptions based off of a leaked plot summary when there's so much context to gain when actually playing the game.

this, especially if the player loses control. Gamers don't like having dumb shit happen when we can't do anything about it whereas we could easily defeat that golfer man in a boss battle

How can you be sure that Abby has no hardship if all the leaked footage was a random points in the game.

Why is anyone surprised this happened to Joel

Everyone is clamoring why Joel had to got out like Glenn rather than literally anyway else.

There's nothing "wrong" with it, it's just not a story people wanted from a sequel to The Last of Us. It should have been its own game.
Neil Druckman has demonstrated he doesn't care about his characters and only uses them as tools to tell a political story. Not caring about the characters or scenerio defeats the purpose of a sequel.

Joel dying was likely, nobody expected it to be LiveLeak video-tier on the hands of a juicer.

go back to twitter Cuckmann

>futility of in-fighting within alpahebet people
By that reason why did the prime father figure (Joel) of the story die so violently?

From a plot standpoint, Abby's group even meeting Joel again despite how fucking big the Unites States is ends up looking like a really hamfisted way of doing storytelling.
>Fireflies were in Utah in the first game at the end
>Joel and Ellie go back to Colorado
>somehow 7? years later both groups go to Seattle to fight the same cult that somehow is spreading aggressively enough to pull these two groups at the right time together
I think its fine to be a beatdown by like 5-6 20 year olds with a weapon, probably done by ambush too. They are attempting to shock us then make us play Abby, and try to find a way to sympathize with her. Without the leaks, it might have been possible when your in the moment playing. With the leaks, Abby hatred will just grow more and be impossible to make someone like her.

>Probably because Abby just curbstomps them both times. There's no struggle, no back and forth, no cat and mouse.
TRANNY BAD! HE KILLED SOMEONE I LIKE
no bitched when Joel gunned the fire flies trying who were trying to find a cure

Story is actually alright and fit with the theme of the game. Problem is the game itself is shit so all the fans have is to latch unto these characters that weren't that great.

So by subverting expectations fans no longer have anything to latch to and accept the fact this entire time they've been playing an overblown interactive movie that was just okay and 3 times the price of an actual film ticket.

Compare this to MGSV a game whose story is a hundred times more retarted and nonsensical then this but the vast majority of people can put up with it because characters were way more enjoyable and most of all the actual GAME is fun.

I hate the part where he dies from tuberculosis.

>Make character immune to horrible world-shattering virus
>Make it a plot point in the first game
>Completely drop the plot point because your new single team leader is a pretentious faggot who just watched American History X and thought replacing blacks with lesbians makes him an amazing writer
>Everyone loses their shit over a story leak
>In a fucking video game
I'm sick of all of it, you all suck, fuck you.

>”So, what exactly is the problem with the story?“
>Introduces a character motivated to kill the TLOU1 cast because Joel killed some random NPC or whatever
>Joel’s death was lame. ND just wanted to get rid of him by showing off their uninteresting tranny which for some reason she has a body of a muscular man.
>you play as that character half of the game to kill another main character because “MUH REVENGE!”
>the game ends with Ellie and nose girl surviving, Ellie wants to kill tranny because of all the shit she has caused throughout this whole game.

The sjw shit aside, you can't have a character nobody knows or gives 2 shits about murder a beloved character we had connections to and know much better than abby. Joel and Ellie are not bad people and Joel was not trying to kill Abby's father or whatever for power or wealth. He did it because he was trying to save someone he loved from being killed in a senario where they lied to him and Ellie about the medical procedure that likely wasnt.going to work anyway. It's outlined that they don't have the proper medical equipment to do anything beyond a hachet job and that Ellie is not the first of her kind they have found.

So knowing that Joel was 100 percent justified in saving Ellie, a girl that allowed him to love again get murderer by some cunt whos mad cause her daddy tried to stop someone protecting their daughter and then ask us to believe he's the bad guy along with Ellie? No, fuck abby shrle shoulda been kept as the games main villian and maybe in that vien try to make us sympathize with her. Not make us play her to try and kill Ellie. Fuck her, I'd have run her ass into a pack of clickers then.shut the game off

Well the first one is probably a straight stomp since its Abby with a weapon, and like 5 adults around the same age as her. The Ellie one is apparently after Ellie was hunting down Abby's group so the video shows a stomp but it was probably built up showing Ellie assassinating people.

Its also someone like twice her size which makes the scene of Ellie getting her arm broke so effortlessly and punched in much worse than if it was Joel getting beat up by someone his size/age. It might as well have been David beating up Ellie from the first game.

The shit stain Druckmann wrote it. Thats where you start.

>If most of all the actual GAME is fun.
have you played it?

NOOO YOU CAN MAKE ME QUESTION THINGS. JOEL SHOULD HAVE DIED A HERO

>Joel and Ellie were the bad guys all along!

Amazing writing.

>Story is actually alright and fit with the theme of the game. Problem is the game itself is shit so all the fans have is to latch unto these characters that weren't that great.

How can you assume Abby won't be a likeable character. we haven't seen his perspective yet

>How can you assume Abby won't be a likeable character. we haven't seen his perspective yet
>nearly kills a pregnant woman
Even if you buy the stupid fucking idea that Joel and Ellie are the real bad guys, it's not like Dina had anything to do with the events of the first game.

>>”So, what exactly is the problem with the story?“
>>Introduces a character motivated to kill the TLOU1 cast because Joel killed some random NPC or whatever
Almost like actions like repercussions
>>Joel’s death was lame. ND just wanted to get rid of him by showing off their uninteresting
We haven't seen his full death nor the set up for it.
tranny which for some reason she has a body of a muscular man.
Yeah it's a tranny what do you expect.
>>you play as that character half of the game to kill another main character because “MUH REVENGE!”
What's the problem with multiple perspectives
>>the game ends with Ellie and nose girl surviving, Ellie wants to kill tranny because of all the shit she has caused throughout this whole game.

Wow it's almost like world with zombies and no rules is shit.Sounds like you want a Disney move

>So, what exactly is the problem with the story?
Random 20 year old girl gets jacked AS FUCK during zombie apocalypse when everyone is starving, which doesn't even translate to good fighting skills and kills a 55 year old emotionless murder machine that was destroyed everything in his path for more than 20 years.
>emotional standpoint rather than if the plot proceeds in a logical way
The first game builds Joel (and Ellie) as incredibly good at surviving. Suddenly they are ambushed by a bunch of kids because Neil wanted to pull a TLJ and kill the white man in the most non heroic way possible.
>I honesty interesting that the player takes control of his killer.
Unless you are scouring for protein shakes, tuna cans, doing BJJ drills for at least an hour per day, lifting heavy 4-6 reps bench, squats and dll, I'm not interested. And yes I am from Yas Forums.

>Even if you buy the stupid fucking idea that Joel and Ellie are the real bad guys
Who said they were the "bad guys" why does gray mortality scare you guys so much

>world with zombies
Really? I haven't seen a single zombie in any of these leaks

Because the characters are ugly dykes/trannies

That's literally it.
No one cares that Joel dies or that you take control of his killer.
