Xbox is more powerful out of the gate this time and it seems like they've completely thought through making a game console along with openly courting weeb devs and expanding on game pass. We haven't fully seen the changes but it should be way more interesting than xbone was

They said it's just for a year so people can transition onto the next console at their own pace and they already announced the first Series X/Series S only game (Hellblade 2). With the Rona and upcoming economic recession, it actually looks smart not rushing people onto the next consoles immediately.

The games that will be on the old gen as well are all made fo that gen in the first place. It would be a waste to not release them there as well and then have next gen exclusives after ~1 year of launch as they said. You know how bad launch games can be so this is a good change.

Xbox has always had the best hardware out of each gen. I think what's going to make Xbox the winner this gen isn't that they're ahead of the game with hardware, but Sony is killing itself and Nintendo is getting a TON of 3rd party devs back from them, especially the weebs ones. I don't think Xbox will ever be popular in Japan, ever. But all M$ needs to do is be rock solid and not fuck up and they're going to beat Sony. Switch having a head start this gen and doing so well has all but assured a victory in my mind as far as sales. But even I, as a PCfag have thought well about the SeX because of backwards compatibility with OG Xbox. There's a couple gems on that console. My usual distaste receding is enough to convince me I'm not the only one who's thinking well about the SeX.

Mark my word, after this TLOU 2 shit, SeXbox is gonna win the console war. The resurrection of the Fable series is gonna be big too, I reckon.

I don't disagree there. Games like BOTW deserved it for example. but the way Phil described it it seemed like they were forcing support of a 7 year old shitty jaguar based box.

SeX is going to win because at the top end it's just blatantly better than PS5 but on the lower end the SeS model is also cheaper than the PS5 so at launch it will take an early lead and soon all the kiddies will want to be able to play with their friends.

This is how the race between Sony and MS always works, in the west at least. It's a sprint, not a marathon.

Xbone was best for most of last generation but they fucked the beginning and lost (as in our Yas Forums shitposting contest, they both won in terms of profits)

I mean X was way more powerful, it had enchanced backcompat, a better controller a cheap 4k blu ray player, gamepass and a decent amount more.

What's next week?

Xcloud more than anything. Especially since Japan's mobile market would be a big factor. They managed to land all the major JP publishers on it as well and are powering MMO's with Azure. Winning back the western weeb market is a bonus especially since it crosses over in areas they do well in like Mexico. Also if Lockhart has a very small form factor as rumored. It could be a small hit for them to acompany Xcloud.
Rumored Xbox is doing E3 in two parts. One in May, one in late June/early July. We might get the first show next week.

Terrible story of tlo2 and leaks is last straw for me. It clearly shows that Playstation brand infested with cucks and depressed people with trying to depress people with their sjw focused games. Xbox is future proof(with xCloud, Azure)
And focused on REAL games. Gamepass is great system and saving you from spending money on many old games and upcoming Microsoft games. Xbox and Microsoft is the future of gaming. Like or not, this is the truth.
