no, because reznor is a dick
he's the reason none of the tunes from q1 ended up in eternal
elaborate
Yeah i fucking love the intro song of it, fucking amazing and that screams makes it better!
Shame he got fucked over, at least he is cool pirating his stuff while he was part of it.
he's still holding a grudge back from early doom3 development when he said everything he did was a waste of time, money and resources and id canned him and his work as a result
Sonic Mayhem's soundtrack for QII was better
It's amazing how two totally disparate video games in the same franchise have 10/10 music.

"We never really did come to an actual agreement with Trent. The original idea was just for him to do all of the sound design for the game. I don't think Trent anticipated how long and how involved that process was and what is involved in game design versus what he does in the music and production side. It just wasn't a good mix with how much time it was going to take him, the value it was going to provide to the game, and what we could afford to pay. Trent's a popular guy. He's a rock star, and his time is valued in rock star dollars."
If you could choose between doing two albums or scoring a game as average as Doom 3 it's no contest. Pretty sure they could use his Q1 music if they paid him, and chose not to.
Quake 3 OST is underrated tbqh

Being developed by a bunch of Quake fans on the DarkPlaces engine.

The music is easily the worst part of the game
Their early games were a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Quake 3 Arena came out in '99, I think it really came into it's own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the maps a big boost.
He isn't wrong, though. Q2 OST is superior
What did you mean by this?

This is a good thread.
No, I prefer sonic mayhem.
I sleep.
i'm gonna be honest here with you man, while this does sound okayish for a two steps from hell knockoff, i'd rather have rabid dogs gnaw at my ears than hear this kind of shit in any quake or doom game
no, 4 & 5 inch nails are much better
Right but what does all this have to do with the Wrath OST?
>people would unironically rather hear this scrub do music for Doom than mick.
lmao
