Tell me when you stopped playing Pokemon.
Tell me when you stopped playing Pokemon
Let's Go made me disinterested, SwSh killed any hope I had left.
Unironically will buy another Let's Go before a new main game based on the overall quality and presentation between the two.
I still play pokemon but not the newer ones.
when I'm done getting footage for some shit user
Well I don't own a Switch so that's where it ended for me
Because it's the same shit every single time.
I don't have patience for RPGs
I only fap to the poke sluts
It's the same fucking game year after year
I bought Sun and it was alright. Somebody gave me UM and I couldn't bring myself to finish it because of the onslaught of cutscenes. Skipped LGPE and refused to buy SWSH.
When I realized that unless I can emulate the game to speed things up by, at a min, 2x I get tired of it's time fill.
i stopped working on my full dex about 1/3 of the way into Y's story.

It's the same fucking game, but worse. I can't think of ONE good song in the entire game.
Glad I don't know that feel. Though Snap was my first Pokemon game, SwSh is the first mainline Pokemon game I've ever legally owned and the first mainline game I've maintained enough interest in to beat.
Same
I don't see any reason to buy one
I got Ultra Ruby or whatever it was called to play it with my sister and I could barely finish the first gym. It was just too boring. I had done it all before at least five times and I didn't see any point in doing it again.
After pokemon yellow
I still play the older ones I refuse to buy any future ones.
It's honestly been a slow decline since the end of Gen 5.
Gen 6 was GF's first 3D game, so they were given a pass under the impression that they were still learning 3D and that the games would get better from there.
But they never did. They've learned nothing about improving their craft.
They only thing they've learned is that they can do below the bare minimum and still make millions because people will buy literally anything Pokemon related regardless of quality.
Just looking at footage of SwSh was final straw and I just can't take it anymore.
Whenever Diamond came out, around that time I found out about SMT which handle things better.
SnS not having the opportunity to catch 'em all killed my interest
How exactly do you make the most successful media franchise on earth and then decide to compromise on its biggest strength; the variety of monsters?
It's possible Game Freak will make enough expansion packs that eventually they'll have every species available for capture/transfer again, but that's still really scummy compared to even their past practice of releasing updated versions as a full-price standalone game.
>Played Moon, but felt half-finished
>Didn’t play US/UM because it looked like more of the same
>Didn’t feel like replaying Red/Blue through LGPE
>Sword/Shield looked just as underwhelming as S/M/US/UM, so didn’t play either
It had a good run.
>complain that pokemon is too easy and is boring
>never plays the enhancement hacks that fix everything
play renegade platinum, it is LEAGUES above the trash gf makes now.
B-but user, kids and their smartphones
I really like how "kids and their smartphones" has been their excuse since gen 6
Ultra Sun and Moon was the last pokemon game I bought. I should have stopped after buying Black and White 2 though.
The increase in cutscenes between areas, the series discouraging exploration by teleporting you places, removal of QoL features to "make regions distinct", decline in difficulty, lack of desire to play competitively, the Ultra Cashgrab titles, etc.
2013. Do you have any idea how empty and soulless XY were? That shit played and ran like a tech demo. Not to mention Kalos barely even felt like it's own region and heavily piggybacked on another region starting with K.
After the fucking disaster that was ORAS
X. Wicke is best Pokegirl.
USUM
Lazy re-release, but at least it built off some stuff SM did. Not worth losing features like PSS, DexNav and Super Training.
Looking back on it now the only thing the Alola games did right was its pallet of quality waifus.
>that tidal wave of art she had after 12 hours of her reveal
Good times
GIVE ME A GODDAMN DIFFICULTY SETTING NINTENDO
I COULD DEAL WITH THE SHIT PLOT AND LINEAR PROGRESSION IF MAYBE THE BATTLES REQUIRED AN IQ HIGHER THAN 60 TO WIN ON AVERAGE
I KNOW IT'S A KID'S GAME BUT YOU WANT MY MONEY TOO, DON'T YOU? THEN ADD A HARD MODE THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE BEATING A 50+ HOUR GAME TO PLAY
I grew up playing Red->Yellow->Crystal, then i got ruby and sapphire and hated them, so i stopped playing for years. I got back into it later when my brother got me a used copy of Fire red, then i played every game until Sun. Sun was so bad i quit and haven't looked back outside of the random Yas Forums threads.
Still enjoy the porn though.
