Lost job. Lost a parent all in the last two months.
Can someone recommend me some amazing RPGs to get lost in?
I've outplayed elderscrolls and witcher and fallout series so none of those.
Thanks for any recommendations bros

That sucks, man. I don't play RPGs so I can't help you but keep going man. Godspeed.
Labyrinth of Touhou 2
Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Kingdome Come: Deliverance
Disco Elysium
I don't like anime, JRPGS, or turn based combat, and persona 5/royal is one of the best games I've ever played.
Dunkey. You shouldn't be here. You know what happens in dunkey threads.
What are you talking about?
kingdom come: deliverance
monster hunter world
gothic 2
It's a joke. The opinion you just posted was in a dunkey video almost verbatim.

Oh. Well, I just happen to share it, I guess. I think I've played maybe 5 turn based RPGS to completion in my life, and I don't watch anime.
Divinity original sin 1
Which RPGs? Out of curiosity
Persona Series, start with 5 and work back
God speed bro
Sure play Fire Emblem Path of Radiance!
It's about losing a dad and your job!
Persona 4 and 5, Pokemon, Digimon World games. I guess I like monster capture games now that I list them out.
I'd add Monster Rancher 4 to that list. Emulates well; the lack of disk swapping makes it a bit more difficult, but you can get a fair amount of saucer stones from dungeons and then combine monsters from there.
Divinity Original sin 1 and 2
Never even played a persona game. Probably won't bother but if I do get curious someday, I guess I'll start with that series. Thanks for the info
don't play video games user, do better things for you
im sorry user
Never looked into monster rancher as a series. Is 4 generally considered the best?
If you can stomach typical anime bullshit, it does well to balance the JRPG gameplay with the social mechanics. So when you're just growing tired of grinding monsters for hours, you go do social shit for 1-2 hours as a break and it just keeps the gameplay loop fresh.
Try this out. Definitely the best RPG I've played.
prepare for the board to be flooded with these posts soon enough. Make sure you put on your mask when you go outside and tell the gestapo where you are going!
Phantasy Star IV
ff7. The original not the gay remake.
>Greil dying is the catalyst to Ike becoming the biggest giga chad Tellius has ever seen
Unironically a nice feel good suggestion
Honestly man I can't speak for what's regarded as the best, I definitely prefer 4 though. The art direction is worse in 4, but the gameplay feels better though it's not without its clunkiness. If you enjoy the genre it's definitely worth checking out.
It’s really easy to get lost in P5R’s world. If what you need is comfort, then one of the best parts of P5 is the confidants who’s stories are all impacted by you. It’s funny, because in the game people deal with a lot of shit that’s pretty relatable regardless of how crazy the plot can be sometimes. Futaba’s arc about the loss of her mom sending her into crippling depression might be hard to handle, but honestly the game’s a huge collection of impactful lessons on how to deal with hardships. The story is inspirational and embracing, and I think it’s a good game to deal with after loss. Makes you feel like you have the power to make things change, you know? So much of the game is about accepting tragedy and not throwing away your past.
Even if you’re not into JRPGs, I personally wasn’t either. I don’t really watch any Anime, the only turn based JRPG I played before hand was Pokémon years ago (if that counts); I had no idea what to expect. Whether or not people think it’s the best in the series, I think it’s one of the most inspiring games with a lasting effect that I’ve played. I mean add everything I mentioned with an incredible OST, complex battle system, and quite possibly the best UI of any game period, and you have yourself a masterpiece. If you haven’t played it yet, you’ll regret you didn’t.
