Why lie? They did no such thing. The story from the original was 100%in the remake, all of it. They only added one small thing, but nothing was removed or changed. Everything that existed in the original existed in the remake, it was incredibly loyal.
So you have no reason to think the story wound be changed in part 2 either since it wasn't in part 1,and nothing in part 1 implied the future would be changed.
