The original design looks like Monolith played a lot of Skyrim and tried to put the best of both worlds (JRPG and WRPG) in regards to art design and ended up pleasing neither.

I'm really looking forward to see how Mayneth and Vanea will look like in the new style. Vanea's tits bounced all over the place in the old game.

top is far more visually appealing in every instance.

I prefer the original art, and think going with a rendering style similar to FFXII could've recaptured it pretty well.
That being said, DE looks miles better ingame so it could be worse.

Very noob question here but I've never played a Xenoblade game before, but want to. Will Chronicles be the game to start with?

I don't know shit in music but I'd say it will depend of the tracks, some will probably be better and others worse.

The magic Monolith performed in some of the cutscenes is to be praised. Some of the camera angles are deliberately chosen.

I've played all the Xeno-games known to man

Xenoblade 1 is a great start despite the fact it wasn't meant to be a Xeno game (Monado was the original name)

Xenoblade X has no relation to Blade.....so far

Xenoblade 2 is a direct sequel to 1 but I can't tell you why it is without a spoiler.

So what about Xenogears and Xenosaga?

Fantastic games but not entirely connected to Blade without risking a lawsuit. Massive plot elements and characterizations are borrowed from it to Blade. If you had to pick, play Saga 1- 3.
