The best final boss in the entire series
The best final boss in the entire series
dude... this is so deep.... and sad..... what a tragic..... character....... damn..... item descriptions...... man..... made me tear up...... the first time i fought...... him........
I actually beat him up with my fists
>whoa bro he's like so pathetic, subverted my expectations, that's deep
>huh? gameplay? who cares! conceptual novelty is all that matters
WOW, the true demon... was us....
Cringe but redpilled.
Dilate
based
When is it ever implied that the chosen undead/ slayer of demons is getting the item descriptions psionically transmitted into their brains?
Its for the player.
so much for environmental storytelling, then
>4 the player
Not falling for your crap this time, Layden
>he thinks the item descriptions are the character's thoughts

The same people who think Dark Souls has a 2deep4u i gonna cry story think Skyrims story is a well-written novel and its the game with the best story in the past 2 decades. Before that it was Ocarina of Time for them.
People really like the Wizard set, or at least the jacket.
I played DeS way after the rest of the series and the bosses were my favourite part about the game. Feels refreshing to have something different than humanoids combo swinging swords at you. Yeah they blew it with the blob but false king is the real final boss anyway.
*blocks your path*
People really read item descriptions? I played all the Souls games and I have no clue what the story is about. I just put a podcast and focus on the gameplay.
>PC fags suddenly get their hands on demons souls
>Bruh demons is so good bro its so good you don't know bro haha i totally played this on ps3 haha its epic
this cunt drained like four soul levels from me
after making me run past several fucking knights and a god damn faggot dragon
and that fucking unskippable elevator too
fuck this guy
i feel nothing but seething hate for him and his ilk
>He thinks false king is the same as king allant
NO I don’t want a sense of closure, I want a GENERIC FLAMIN’ KNIGHT for my final boss! I literally CLAPPED when I saw Soul of Cinder. I. LITERALLY. HECKIN’. CLAPPED.
The real final boss is stompin on your waifus head to get the best ending
Lost so much Int you don't even know which boss you're talking about.
kek
They couldnt have pulled off a true final souls boss with it being something new, that is why they played it safe with everyone/gwyn 2.0
soul of cinder is closure, though
This
>old as shit ps3 game
>still looks better than most PC games
fpbp OP is seething
So what are the item descriptions then? information that gets teleported to the brain once an item is acquired?
>king allant
there you go playing games translated by retards
PS3 fags have been obnoxious about DeS for years. Is this your first day?
Good thing the top right always reminds me where I am otherwise I'd never be able to beat this game
Is that Trevor's voice actor?
yea
As a story boss, it was actually great. Killing him then reading Soulbrandt's item description as the music continued basically was the finale of Boletaria's story. The tale established from the opening words of the game had its answer -- Boletaria was always a horrible place, and Allant was always corrupt, people were just in denial and wanted to ignore their own greed and corruption. The build-up with the real Allant sounding slightly worried after you defeated the False King, the Old One being such an agonized, miserable, toppled tree, it all made it clear that something pitiful, not badass, was the final challenge. Of course, it obviously helps that the False King was the closest thing to a challenging final boss, but the confrontation with the actual Allant and his pitiful defeat stands out to me more than the final story beats of the other bosses in the series.

What about DS1 and BB?
