So is FF15/FF7R but you can just be inneficient and braindead like OP and just hold one button. Same with turn-based combat. You can just bash away with basic attack for most of the fights with only thing lost being your time.

Sure, launch any of the FF titles from 1-12 and try winning every fight by just attacking over and over with basic attack. I guarrantee that you'll be able to beat almost anything that way with enough time.

Only two FF to have any level of strategy to them were X and Tactics, characteristically both are fully turn-based. When I want my JRPG to have actual mechanics I play SaGa, not FF. At least this new real-time system is entertaining, ATB was the stupidest combat system ever created.

I have no idea what you're on about. You can just steamroll most fight by bashing regular enemies in almost every turn-based rpg, grinding isn't even a factor in this.

FF13-3 was very good.
FF15 was mediocre but still much better than FF7R.

This isn't even remotely true, X is fucking braindead for 90% of the playtime because of the fucking garbage encounter design.

XIII, XIII-2, LR, V, VIII, X-2, every version of XII, and WoFF plus the tactics subseries all require miles more strategy than fucking X
