It's shameful that I played Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector (Hard) campaign but I can't remember anything about the levels. I cleared it without any deaths but for the life of me nothing here screams "this is where you raged the most" on the chapter screen.

I'd love to replay it for the first time in nearly 20 years on the Switch -- if it had a virtual console.

IIRC this is the map where you fight the mage mommy, and she (or a druid) has Bolting, able to hit the party from the other side of the map. I reset on this fight so much, because even the mages would get rekt if they had a bad enemy turn, had to get lucky with dodges and the rescue staff.

Yeah it's technically possible to lose this fight without having any chance to do anything about it. THEORETICALLY you can prepare for it ahead of time and try a very specific cheese strat to hedge your bets but realistically this level has a small chance of you autolosing.

I recently started this one and Sacred Stones, I'm more or less right in the middle of both games and they're ok for the most part but I have a feeling if I played them as a kid or teenager back when I had enough free time and motivation to play anything I would have enjoyed them way more. Some minor things really piss me off at times like the fog mechanic or not being able to see enemies in a room before opening it for no reason at all. And whenever one of my units dies it's at the very end of a chapter for stupid reasons like the RNG fucking up my run. I guess I'm getting too old for this or I'm getting burned out after playing a lot of JRPGs one after the other, including 3H, maybe I'll force myself to beat Sacred Stones because I like the characters more but that's it.

I have played every fire emblem and the most tiring thing is to restart after a unit death. All the time effort wasted on one dead unit. Its better to let some units die, they aren't worth the hassle. Playing on casual can help, but for me, that ruins how the game should play since you can take more risks
