Ivory King did everything wrong.

Shulva is the best DLC area.

>Shulva
Maya temple?
It must be the ugliest DSII location.

I think it's ok. The jumping parts are annoying as hell. Also these ghosts in the temple suck big time. I had a better time playing Eleum Loyce and Ivory Tower.

This dlc was the only good thing in das2

Everything Ringed City should've been

>you can kill invaders/hosts with a giant fucking snowball

how can dark souls 3 even compete

>giant fucking snowball
??

This video gave me a cancer, thanks.

>sparta mixes in 2014
That was out of style even then

yeah pretty bad...was the first result. 2014 was a different time

Home

DaS2's base game has mostly awful or nonexistent shortcuts but the snowball is one of the most clever shortcuts in the franchise.

Fuck the Frigid Outskirts. The worst area From has ever put into a Souls game. The rest of the DLC is fun though.

I killed a host and both his phantoms with it once, one of the highlights of my invader career

Looks really nice but is filled with shit.

You mean horsecock valley?

It really did and i even like ds2
>The gimmick is just that you have to run through the whole area twice
>Ice hedgehogs
>Giant golems with infinite poise that can drain ur souls
>Invisible enemies
>Obnoxious maldron invasion
>Covetous demon
>Boss forces you to fight a horde of trash mobs before attempting
>Want to see the whole story and get all the gear? Grind the boss in coop for literally 50 rare drops
>The fucking reindeer area
>Lud and zallen, the laziest 'extra' boss of any dlc, its just two copies of aava in a big empty room. at least the other extra bosses had different mechanics
The only good thing about this dlc was the northwarder set. Damn that armor looked sick on my mage

Havent played the dlc but Iron Keep is the worst area of the main game

>tfw you don't open the gate before finding Maldron

really nails the fy_snow but with cathedrals aesthetic
(it's unironically good)

Maldron can go fuck himself.

Both snow DLCs are the worst From made tbqh

>Like Dark Souls with pure melee
>get here
>Well time to invest in bows and crossbows

Prime shit taste

It doesn't look as extraordinary once the blizzard clears. I wish they didn't remove all that mood it had

The DS2 DLC areas were better than almost all of the rest of DS2, but even then, it still has some of the janky DS2 problems.

Iron Keep is still good to play through. The Frigid Outskirts are literally a completely white wasteland that covered by a blizzard which reduces visibility to near zero. Then you have the fucking infinitely respawning flying reindeer shooting lightning bolts constantly. It's the only area in a Souls game I ever just run through, because it's just not fun to play. You can't see shit, the enemies respawn constantly, the blizzard only clears up every 40 seconds or so for 10 seconds, there's no worthwhile loot in the area, and the boss is just a double copy of a previous boss.

I skipped all of the DLCs' "co-op" areas.

That one cave in the Sunken City
Frozen Tundra in the Snow DLC (although not really co-op)
The rape hole in Fire Tower

Frigid Outskirts is atmospheric at least, the Old Iron King memory is just a shitload of lizards and copypasted assets thrown into a blender.

You dont need a bow unless youre extremely bad at video games. The area is full of pillars and shit for you to hide behind.

Yeah, these areas are all not that fun to play through even if you summon, but the Gank Squad and the Blue Smelter area don't have anything on the frustration that the Frigid Outskirts cause me.

The area does look nice although there isn't really much there, but the way the blizzard impacts gameplay (visibility, reducing lock-on distance), and the respawning enemies just makes it tedious to play for me. It's really the only area in a Souls game I never clear. I just summon the npc to take the reindeer's aggro, run along the wall to the boss fog, unsummon the npc if he's survived, and fight the cats.
