Max! Dearest of all my nemesi

2 was peak

Great gameplay, and what a fucking atmosphere. I don't often replay games once I beat them, but this one felt so good.

Hated it initially, but on second playthrough it has become a masterpiece in my eyes

What are the best Max lines?

Where the fuck is 4, Rockstar?

You know I'm right

All of them. Why nobody managed to make anything close to mp is still the greatest mystery of videya. Especially when it comes to dialogues.

I had the PS2 versions of 1 and 2.

I know you're right user, this is my ranking. Never understood 2's hype. It wasn't bad, but it was just a bit ....flat after 1. 3 has the best shooting mechanics despite the fact it keeps on stopping me from playing every 5 minutes with a stupid cutscene.

It was too short and I didn't like that

While I generally love the dialogue, I get tired of analogies after a while. Like, I get it Max. Things are like other things.

did they write it in english? if not, that must have been one hell of a translation job, and done perfectly

It's just the way he says 'em, while you understand the cynical point of view Max has coupled with the terrible luck that only digs Max deeper into a hole but never buries him, despite him begging to basically die in 3.

Breh

I enjoy the meaty feel of 3's guns and ragdolls, but loved the atmosphere of 2 and it's movement. 1 is goofy great fun with a morbid interior that still is pretty strange how well they juggled "payne in da butt" and a literal dead baby in the intro.

When did you realize 3 was the best one, Yas Forums?

Does anybody wanna' play 3 online?

>everyone's dead, it isn't sad, but you're still crying

3 is complete garbage, developers fucked up the gameplay by interrupting it every 30 seconds with a pointless one minute cutscene, turning MP in a fucking movie game only console peasants could ever enjoy

New York levels. Before that I thought "fuck Rockstar can't make a Max Payne game" When I played the New York levels I was like "Oh well they CAN make a Max Payne game and this is their way of saying we can give you more of the same but why should we?"

>Literally detached the hard drive to prove there's nothing to load and Houser just insist you watch his fucking cutscenes

The game runs entirely from the disc?

That being said, im one of the few that legit liked 3 a lot, as much as i recognize it had nothing to do in continuation or gameplay to the other games.

2 was just 1 but better.

It was New Jersey you fag.
Also as someone who recently replayed the game, I have to disagree. The highlights of the game were the last two chapters.

>Looking at it one way, shutting down the airport for their escape was a weird sort of "compliment", but one I didn't need.

I'm not saying it's the highlight, I said this was the moment I realized it's actually a good Max Payne game

MY LORD!
