I got it years ago on PS+ but I didn't like it, not really into racing games GT5 and now 6 being the only exceptions. Actually, I enjoyed some wipeout on the PS3 and Vita too, and playing the PSP gran turismo was also pretty comfy on the Vita.

My bluray disc drive finally died today so I had to download a backup of the game and install it. I was expecting to waste a few hours in the process but it was actually pretty quick. I'm surprised how GT6 managed to be much smaller than 5 while having better graphics and more content, also the loading times seem reasonably short, at least compared to 5.

I played the entire King's Field and Shadow Tower series on the PS3. It's really comfy and I highly recommend it. I also played a lot of RE3 and Suikoden 2, some of my favorite childhood games. If you have cfw you can also emulate PS2 games even on a Slim model. I also played quite a few as well.

Is it as easy to hack as the 3DS?

It's been years since I hacked it but it was relatively easy. Don't know about the 3DS though.

Yes. Just got off playing Max Payne 3 Multiplayer. Not only is it active online (probably thanks to the ease of piracy) but it's full of halo 2 era shit talking.

you don't even need full cfw. all ps3s can run hen, so all you need to do is convert your ISOs to PKGs and you can play them on any model including later slims and super slims.

This. Even games that are dead or mostly dead on other consoles/PC have active communities (like Max Payne 3 and MGO3) because you can also play pirated games online.
I don't think so unless you hack someone else's console to steal their ID but a new one is like $5-15 on ebay anyway, it's worth it. Just use PSNpatch in the future.

The PS3 is my favourite console of all time. I agree PS2 has the better games but I don't know. I love the UI, the fact that I can play PS1 and PS2 games on it, free multiplayer, it's design.
Currently playing MGS1 on a CRT. It looks gorgeous.

Yep. I have missed out on too many video games while back in high school and middle school, so I get a lot of usage out of it.
