Is this peak video gaming? Will they ever make a more exhilarating boss fight?

Sekiro fags with their shitty Glock Saint can fuck off, he's way too slow and easy.

They probably will make better bosses, miyazaki is still charge for the next game and he has a very good idea of what he is doing. (at least now)

Whys it always a competition. I can't enjoy the feel, gameplay and aesthetic of Demon Souls, Dark Souls while simultaneously enjoying the sane qualities found in 2,3, Bloodborne and Sekiro?

>r1 r1 roll r2 roll r1 r1 r2 roll roll roll
autism is a tragedy

It's just really disappointing that Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 had such amazing boss fights but Sekiro's bosses were pretty pathetic. Only the last 3 were challenging but still amounted to "lol dude just stand in front of the boss and time your L1's".

But then again I suppose Sekiro was just a quick side job for From as they keep working on Elden Ring.

Better than just R2

>Glock Saint can fuck off, he's way too slow and easy.
But so was Gael? Gael is piss easy and designed to be approached by any build. His fight is well-designed because of that, but in no fucking way it's hard.
My first DaSIII playthrough was on SL24, so I didn't even have bloated stats to bruteforce him.

Phase 3 requires perfect dodges due to his cloak. And he can easily 2-3 shot you by that time.

The Soul of Cinder was a superior final boss not just in terms of combat, but also story and lore

>perfect dodges
Not even close

Phase 3 is unironically easier than Phase 2 or 3 due to his loss of patterns and just mixing up more of the rest of patterns. 360 degree cloak can be avoided just by being far away, his forward slams are just a huge ass opening for you to punish him, and his only kind-of scary thing is that slam-sideslam-jump backwards to do a big slam combo, and all of those can be easily dodged. I'd say that lightning is more deadly than Gael himself during Phase 3.

Gael is WAYYYY easier than Sword Saint. Gael isn't even the hardest boss in the DaS3 DLCs, if anything he's probably the easiest boss of the lot. Absolutely pathetic compared to Friede.

>caring about difficulty and not just pure kino levels

Maria is probably my favourite.
>those low strings starting up as she walks towards you looking /fa/ as fuck

how is sword saint difficult? every attack is projected so you know how to parry or jump off him or run / dash. if lil baby having trouble, you can literally run around in a circle and hit him after every spear thrust attack. such a brain-dead fight. i'm actually confused as to how people enjoy sekiro. easiest boss fights of my life and boring lore. what's redeemable?

Sekiro's bosses overall are fucking amazing what do you mean? A lot of reused miniboss bullshit but Sekiro's design is very tight and that allowed them to make the bosses do more crazy shit than soulsborne.

>every attack is projected
no fucking shit this is literally every move in the entire series from demon souls to sekiro

lol what? each boss has maybe 3-4 attacks in sekiro. how is that amazing or crazy? btw im not defending souls bosses either but praising sekiro as being so innovative and tight is rediculous

Gael is easy as fuck dude, the only difficulty I ever had with him was when I did a SL1 run
Glock Saint on the other hand took me several days to beat

Okay so post a video of yourself playing it.

OP talks about the BEST boss and everyone itt conflating that with THE MOST DIFFICULT boss.
The two are unrelated. Gwyn was a piss easy boss but still one of the BEST final bosses ever, same goes for Gael.

I was about to make this post.
>UHHHHH NO HES EASY I BEAT HIM FIRST TRY WITH ONE HAND SL20 BRO TRUST ME HES SHIT

Everyone on Yas Forums is talking shit about how easy any boss is any way. You cant discuss these games without someone telling you X boss is EZ and you suck.

Gael was a great character and had a good part to play in the story, and the final battle was of course beautiful. But he wasn't that great of a fight, or difficulty IMO. He doesn't really have any attacks that are too difficult to avoid, and most of them are survivable unless you're on a late NG+ cycle. Even then you probably won't have too many problems unless he does one of those lunges and you fuck up the dodge because he got janky on the sloped geometry.

Also if you think Sekiro is in any way easier than Soulsborne you're smoking crack. The only thing in that series that comes close is F/R/C chalice dungeon bosses.

Sword saint is the best final boss From has ever made, but for me I prefer the corrupted monk and the divine dragon in terms of fight, style, execution and being overall kino as fuck

the maria ripoff was better
although the lightning striking the burning dark soul was kino

also meant to quote

The awe you got the first time you hear the plin plin plon of the second phase and see the moveset is enough.

This fight is so fucking exhilarating it's unreal. The setting, the setup to the entire thing, how the fight slowly amps up, fighting an honorable man gone mad, being at the literal end of the age of fire, knowing that you are fighting against the fucking dark soul almost at it's peak power. And after all this is done giving the little girl her ink and then going and snuffing the flames is just incredible.

Gael's good but way too easy, not even in the top 20 Soulsborne bosses. OoK, Ludwig, Midir, Artorias, Manus, hell even Fume Knight are way more of a test of your abilities.

killed all bosses in all souls games
Sigrun from GoW is better than any of them
Fume Knight is best souls boss tho

there are MUCH MUCH better bosses in GoW you could have named

t. Chink

for me it's Sigrun, she killed me more times than any souls boss has

>using r2

>namecalling
get fucked, I've played every single souls game

this is the problem of ds3, atleast R2 was useful in DS1 and DS2, in DS3 however i never even think about touching him

3-4 attacks. Play the game bro. Bosses have a variety of attacks and alla bosses after mid game (except the true monk I think) can chain them to different attacks sometimes.
