Why aren't you using Gog Galaxy 2.0? It's really fucking great right now and still getting huge updates

why would i?
Always seemed really based but I just can't be bothered
>a launcher for your launcher
I really don't see the point.
I buy on GOG specifically to avoid launchers. Also Galaxy is DRM for several multiplayer games, and I don't like that.
GoG galaxy is only there to make installation methods easier, and to make it easier to access all your games in case you have many, you can play installed games without it even if you installed it through there.
I do.
I'm not interested in launcher for launchers.
If only this thing was able to bypass the launchers..
That would be literally illegal.
>GoG galaxy is only there to make installation methods easier
I would believe you if there weren't titles that use it as DRM.
There is literally no game on GoG that can't be played without GoG galaxy.
I guess im waiting until 2.0 is stable and released to try it
If it really is good, i likely will keep using it to manage all my games
The entire point of gog is to have games without needing a launcher why the fuck would I add one if I can chose not to.
See
I'm still not going to be installing yet another launcher when I can just download the game .exe and install it through here just as easily.
Isn't that literally your operating system's GUI?
So a launcher for your launcher for your launcher?
It's to collect them all so you can have all your games in one library
Why?
I like gog cause it lets me hoard a bunch of installers on a flash drive in case I get a new pc or just want to have for if my internet goes out or something.
A client is pointless. None of the games I'd play on gog have multiplayer elements I'd care about either. I just don't see the point.
>A client is pointless. None of the games I'd play on gog have multiplayer elements I'd care about either. I just don't see the point.
It's mostly to connect different clients into one library, if you don't use them then it isn't needed
A consolidation launcher for people that technically don't care about platform wars but still want shit organized.
I most likely will once it leaves beta.
What games?
Pretty much every SNK game, for example.
>literally no game on GoG
:^)

Anyways, locking multiplayer to Galaxy is DRM, no matter your mental gymnastics.
Any multiplayer game is inherently DRM'd now. Only absolute retard devs don't validate multiplayer clients on their servers. If you go to war with actual DRM on this, you've already lost.
f2p doesn't count
>Any multiplayer game is inherently DRM'd now.
If I wanted DRM, I would go with Steam, that by the way has better features than Galaxy and Linux support.
Moving the goalposts.
it's not really a case of want, if you're gonna play multiplayer you have little choice for most games
because i buy games from gog to never have to need to use a fucking launcher
Well, I will use Steam, itch.io and Humble Store then.
I'd only care if it let me skip the need to have other launchers open, but nope. Maybe one day Valve will bother having a thin client for Steam just solely to let games launch and handle DRM for shit like GOG Galaxy.
okay steam cultist
All my games are on steam already
Both have DRM'd multiplayer and Steam has VR, Steam Input, Remote Play and Proton.
I will use it again once they stop pretending they are a 100% DRM-free store or stop using Galaxy as DRM for multiplayer.
