Is it actually a good game or is it just waifubait?
Is it actually a good game or is it just waifubait?
It's a good game with one of the worst active fanbases on Yas Forums
It's a good game and it's waifubait
Both, unironically
But the combat takes up until at least Chapter 5/6, which is about half the game for you to get properly immersed in since the first half is a slog
Waifubait. Stops being around ch. 10 when they finally start talking about the more interesting stuff like the creation of the world
Chapter 1 was solid, but Chapter 2 through the first half of 6 were full of ups and downs. The story doesn't start to get consistently good until Chapter 7, and by that point, there's only 3 chapters left. The same goes for the combat to a lesser degree. It took me roughly until Chapter 5 for me to fully gain interest in the mechanics, and I see the same sentiments around here when discussing the combat too.
Is actually a good game
Its a good JRPG, but is gets dragged through the mud by its fanbase.
It's good, not as good as XC1 but definitely worth playing if you like jrpgs.
I'm not a waifu fag at all
Best JRPG in the last 10 years.
Absolute fucking shit taste, imagine unironically liking Japanese Humor.
SEETHING
People said it got better after 20 hours and it did for a while but I dropped it in chapter 8 out 10. It just felt boring. The story and characters weren't particularly interesting or unique.
Waifubait on the outside kino on the inside
is a good game with waifubait
Mass replies should be a bannable offense
This game is one of the most frustrating RPG I ever played. It's simultaneously filled with good and terrible ideas. The combat system is extremely fun once you start getting how it works, the world design is nice too... Then you have this horribly time consuming and useless gacha system, the writing is abysmal, and it has so many QOL issues, it would make XCX look like a finished game. If you hate spending your time in terribly designed menus, this game isn't for you.
You should play Golden Sun. You'll be deeply immersed in the world, and the Psyenergy mechanics give you the utmost interaction with the world.
FPBP & other based posts.
7/10, best I can do. OST is 10/10.
Swap the top with XB1.
>spending your time in terribly designed menus
Why the fuck is the menu design so bad? They had multiple patches to address issues with it and it's still not "good"
Yes.
s n o y
Imagine a game where half the chests would require you to "equip" some "field skills" to be open. You'd have to go into the menu select your characters' "Blades", change them to useless random Blades but who possess the right skills to open the chest, open the chest, then go back to the menu, and change the blades again to your original Blades. Also it's the same with almost every interaction with the environment. Sometimes you literally have to equip a skill just for one interaction, then change your Blades again for the next interaction, then change again to open the chest etc... It's one of the worst game design idea ever.
Another thing, to level up your blade skills you have to do extremely tedious side quests (usually "kill 10 units of this specific monster), that are NOT retroactively validated. So to accomplish them, you have to equip the Blade AND kill the monsters in that order (also you need this side quest to be "activated" first, if you kill the monsters before unlocking it, it won't count). So be prepared for a shitton of backtracking and grinding.
Just waifubait, but it has potential to be an okay anime if it wasn't a game.
Obsessed
XBC2 is liked for the same reason FF15 is liked by some. Style over substance.
Waifu bait the combat is fucking terrible
What's baffling about having to manually change your party for field skills is that there IS a system in place to determine if you have a merc mission's prerequisites across all your blades and that's basically the same shit.
I don't play it for humour or cooming. I just like jrpgs
Waifushit disgusts me and I put about 200 hours into it.
Yeah, fuck I completely forgot that. They honestly messed up big time on so many things. I wish they didn't because the game had great potential and some genuinely good moments. But it seriously needed at least another year of development and testing before being released.
Who the fuck plays games for the humor?
THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME?
DON'T FORGET ME
;_;
Haven't seen this autist before. Has he been around a while?
