>comes out tomorrow
>absolutely nobody cares
XCOM bros? You trying it?
Gears Tactics
gears of war is a shitty franchise
everyones too busy with tlou2 meme, it's gotten good reviews so I'm getting it as I've always wanted a strategy gears game
Chimera squad was disappointing as fuck so yeah, I will.
Lmao no you fucking idiot. What other series hasnt had a good title in over a decade? Absolute trash. Just play Xcom with mods.
I've been busy playing the anime xcom clone that came out.
youtube.com
I got it pre-loaded to check it out
Which one?
Most overrated franchise in history
Looks like XCom with no soul.
What separates this from Xcom 2?
>Requires 3rd-Party Account: Xbox Live
lol no thanks
I can live without a video game
holy shill thread!
store.steampowered.com
It's the xcom battle system, with rpg stats/levels, diablo loot system, crafting, market areas where youi can chat/trade with other players, crafting, monster taming.
Theres a lot in it, but because of it , it takes a while to get going.
youtu.be
If you ignore the fedora clips at the beginning, this video is a pretty good comparison. I think it looks quite decent.
Already pre loaded for one dollar
it's the same shit as halo, it got memed into relevancy by people who only had an xbox during their childhood
these 2 franchises are so boring
Anime Xcom sounds awesome.
it's not anime
it's made by Koreans
saying it's anime would be like saying it's anime if it's drawn by Africans even if it looks anime
Already got it preloaded user, looks fun. Bought Chimera Squad too but since Gearscom is fresher I figure I'll dive into that first, plus that gives Chimera time to get some patches since I hear it's a bit buggy. Happy to have both of them.
nice cope tranny sim faggot
Sounds enjoyable.
This works. Thanks user. I hope you have a great rest of the day.
>the two franchises that pretty much shaped console FPS's and TRS's for an entire gen and beyond
>"duh... overrated"
Sheethe more Sony ponies.
>Halo Wars
>Gears Tactics
I'll just wait for Forzacraft
As i said it can take a bit before all the systems kick in. Your doing generic backstory thing that lead up to the openinig mission, then suddenly you've got a mission to wipe out a 50 man gang.
>Koreans
Yeah I can see it in the character design with the edgy bad boy probably has a chaebol in there somewhere too. I probably give it a run, it's only 20 bucks. How long is the game?
What about Miney Crafta Dungeons?
>>absolutely nobody cares
It's the #1 seller globally on Steam currently.
>it's not anime
>it's made by Koreans
You realize a lot of anime is animated in korea.
Same with design. Same with writing. You're a dumb bitch.
I care, it's free on Game pass
A Carmageddon like game would make more sense for a bizarre Forza spin-off.
I would also unironically play that.
I never really liked the Gears franchise. Combat was too slow for me to enjoy. And while I like this genre of game and it looks decent I feel I probably don't know the lore or characters enough to enjoy it. I'll pass unless it gets crazy good reviews or something.
Xcom fan here, game looks fine, but I don't care for the Gears of War franchise so I will skip.
Oh shit really for Xbone? Might give it a shot then. Gamepass works on PC right?
That is unironically the state of things. People call Avatar anime even though it was written and produced in America and animated in Korea.
I'll be playing it i'm just debating whether to sub up to gamepass or buy it. I've already spent a lot of extra money this month out of boredom, and without mod support (i assume) there's no reason to actually 'own' it since i'm not gonna be tweaking and replaying it endlessly like X-Com. It also looks legitimately good - unlike Gears 5 - so I'm curious if the future of games like this is dependent on buying it FP. I know that's a pretty 'good goyim' thing to say and think, but I want 2k to have some competition so they don't get fucking lazy like Creative Assembly or Paradox have in their niches. The only thing I don't like about what i've seen is the dependence on story crucial characters because of COURSE they had to cram in a schlock hollywood blockbuster plot. That being said it's still way better than Gears 4 or 5's plot, but that's a low fucking bar
Gears and Halo were some of the first AAA blockbusters to penetrate the normie-sphere and are to a degree overhyped, but in the case of both the first games in their series - Gears of War and Halo: Combat Evolved - were legitimately good and brought new refinements to their genres, and only over time became mediocre Hollywood slop in the pursuit of cash money.
Im 12 hours in and i've only just recruited the 4th character, gained access to the upgrade/craft system and unlocked the shopping area where you can talk to other players.
Battles can get fairly large (they give you generic low level police grunts for certain missions to compensate for this)
im excited
i've never really played the "xcom" type but i like gears so i'll give it a shot
the only good thing about these games was the split screen, other than that it was just generic "le badass armored dudes with guns"
youtube.com
This guy does pretty good reviews.
Maybe in a sale when it's $15-$20, full price is unreasonable. Also, Gears of War is a dead and irrelevant franchise that's about 10 years out of date at this point. These Microsoft shill threads are always so pathetic.
> nobody cares
well i can't play it yet, what the fuck I'm supposed to talk about?
gamepass ultimate, yes
if it turns out to be a good and challenging tactics game then maybe
I also like acg but be prepared to be called a shill for liking anything or anyone ever
fuck off Koreaboo
the fuck is the difference I have the normal one as far as I know
>I'll be playing it i'm just debating whether to sub up to gamepass or buy it
It seems to be more story focused than xcom so I'd guess that replayability shouldn't be that high. I'd go for gamepass, which is also way cheaper obviously.
gamepass ultimate gives you PC gamepass along with everything else that comes with GP
idk how to feel about loot systems in a trpg.
is it at least somewhat challenging?
nu-XCOM also has a loot system
Ultimate gives you xbone and pc.
i have the xbox one so it's probably not. I think I can upgrade for a buck so maybe I'll do that or pirate it.
Theres difficulty settings. I started on Hard and things have been fair enough.Theres a higher dificulty after you've beat the first chapter but i've not delved into that yet.
some of these YouTube reviewers say the boss are actually challenging
now what that means i don't know
