What the fuck user, I bought the phenom II x4 955 like 10 years ago, it was the first PC I built myself. I upgraded it to a 4690k in 2014, and I got a ryzen 3600 not too long ago. Can't imagine this thing still runs games very well.

I had no choice really. My old GPU (Radeon HD 5570) died when the mining craze was happening. I was aiming for a base GTX 1050 for ~$100 but you couldn't find them for less than $150.
It didn't help that most of my available funds was tied up in Amazon giftcards which has a fucking awful second-hand market. So I settled for an $80 GT 1030. I probably should've aimed for an RX 550 but whatever.

you're better off saving an extra $60-70 and getting a 3600 instead. they go on sale for around $160 these days. arguably the 1600 af is a better buy too with 6c12t at $85.

which is way more expensive, I would say shit's worth it if you are a poorfag, since upgrading the cpu is always better. You can easily switch the gpu later, but the cpu usually needs you to switch ram, mobo and the cpu itself.
