Imagine being this in denial? I played Dream Team for 40 fucking hours and I still had Starlow or whatever the fuck its called pop up every 2 seconds, literally every room to be like "Maybe you should hold right to get to the next room" or the camera pans across the whole puzzle rather than just letting me explore myself and then go "Maybe if we [insert puzzle solution here] we can progress!" Like no fucking shit. As I said, the fights were the only good parts but there's too much piss-easy, hand-holdy garbage in between. Idgaf about (You)s, I'm here to tell the truth. Stop spouting buzzwords and other agenda just to hide from the truth and mislead others.

All the M&L games are excellent, Nintendo just doesn't have that kind of charm any more.

The biggest complaint was the non-stop tutorials. Overall it wasn't a bad game though.

Yknow whats really weird. When nintendo saw the sales of SSS, they actually gave AlphaDream a dev kit for the original DS so that they could work on a hit sequel in advance. Pretty sure this was also the case with 3ds and Dream Team. So it boggles my mind why tf didnt they give AD a dev kit for the switch to make new title for the system instead of forcing them to succumb to having to make remakes no one asked for (granted SSS remake was a nice thing to have)

People don't like DT despite it being essentially the same game as BIS because it doesn't appeal to barafags. Both are great butI think DT edges out BIS a bit, the shitty artstyle notwithstanding. I find Dreamy Luigi battles more fun than Bowser and Giant Luigi fights are cinematic kino.

Ratchet and Clank, Wipeout, Medievil, Little Big Planet, are all still alive. And even if some of them are death, at least they still get re-release/remastered like Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Parappa the Rapper, Ape Escape, etc

Dream Team is the type of game that you finish once do the boss rush and then never pick up again. I tried and I think I stopped my replay at the hydro-park part
The art-style and bosses and enemies are pretty fun

Artstyle, music, characters (i liked the russian Hoos and all the beanbean people and block people roaming around to show that they want to make their own universe in the mario lore), and the battle system (granted the bro moves in this game are some of the weakest in my opinion)

BIS may be my least favorite, but this series doesn't even have a bad game in it.

Its boring, but ffs does it have the best combat. They did little things to make the DT combat better like speeding up the time it takes to do the shell attack,bomb derby and drop chopper attacks. Im kinda sad that we won't get an HD game that uses DT&PJs battle system.

i really, really enjoyed DT, but the incessant, nonstop tutorials pretty much mean i'll never play it again. on top of that you have the fact that action commands are STILL shitty and gutted compared to SS, so i can see why some people dislike it.

Semi-unrelated to the topic but Persona 5 also has tutorials and holds your hand even up to the final dungeon and that's considered one of the best rpgs of all time while Dream Team got crucified for that shit and P5's length is doubled the total hours of DT

I don't think its fine that both games have tutorials so late into the game. I just don't get why people shit on one, but not the other. I'm actually glad AlphaDream learned their lessons with PJ and the Remakes when it comes to tutorials and even battle speed. It's fucking sad that we wont see M&L 6 with all of the improvements that those games made

The name is a catchy placeholder. I always envisioned a hypothetical game with this set-up being on the backdrop of a campy 60s American detective drama. Mario and Luigi trying to uncover a organized group stealing things all over the Mushroom Kingdom, with Wario and Waluigi constantly a step behind the main antagonists and oftentimes accidentally helping Mario and Luigi. A mechanic could be things you do in areas earlier as Wario and Waluigi impact what is available for Mario and Luigi, similar to how some Laguna segments can impact Squall in FF8. Give Midbus the Fawful treatment and promote him to the primary antagonist.
