Why is samuel hayden so [spoilers]lovable[/spoilers]?
Nu-Doom wouldn't be as enjoyable without his dumbfuckery
Why is samuel hayden so [spoilers]lovable[/spoilers]?
>unwittingly slip an s in, ruining everything
has anyone ever done a redesign of him for classic doom?
i assume you'd have to make the blue eye much bigger
Am I the only one that thinks the theory Hayden is the seraphim is retarded?
he literally cannot keep getting away with it
Why was he so boring in Eternal?
I utterly hate it, but I'm also pretty sure it's 100% what the dev team intended to be the truth.
It's not really a theory at this point.
Because he only joined the ride at the end. He was fantastic in Eternal, we just didn't get enough of him
>"I feel I should apologize for what's happened here... some of my employees took things too faaarrrr."
I also want to be a giant robot. Why is life unfair?
Hope someone does. He's a nice boy.
based hayden
I can see him figuring out abs reverse engineering makyer and hell tech that was left on Mars. And if my
memory serves me right he probably came across vega and maybe remains of that seraphim. He also has studied tech and tablets fug up through hell, which is why hes so knowledgeable. I get more of a history repeats itself vibe than he is the literall seraphim that gave doom guy powers.
I feel like this early concept art would be him in classic doom.
Who the fuck cares? Like you need a robot to tell you to kill demons.
>He doesn't like bullying Samuel
a really good voice actor.
For the longest time I thought it was Peter Cullen but it was the guy who voiced this dude
It doesn't hurt that he's basically the doomguy's g-man
Why the fuck has Bethesda STILL not fixed that bugged trophy in Doom 2016
It's been FOUR FUCKING YEARS and the fucking "collect all runes" trophy still doesn't fucking work right
I got it on mine
>he's basically the doomguy's g-man
He's far more than he lets on. I know we were all busy murdering demons, but at least try to pretend to have a Sixth sense and notice what Hayden is talking about. he knows a lot more than a human being could ever know, even IF he became a robutt. The Icon of Sin was just a meat mountain. Sam Hayden is the REAL threat.
>works on my machine
It becomes impossible to get if you do even a single one of the rune trials using the Rune Trial Select or Mission Select in the main menu instead of picking them up in the actual campaign, and the only confirmed workaround is literally deleting your save and starting over. And it's been broken in exactly that way since the game was released.
But samuel isn't the villain of this tale.
Sentinel architecture is a blatant rip off gears of war.
oh, I beat every trial as soon as I found them
I wish I spoke as badass as him.
>Screams of agony
doom eternal is bad but samuel hyden is a very interesting character
he's hot and sexy
The only theory that satisfies me is that Samur is the brain tumor that caused Hayden to be a giant fuck off robot that slowly grew to control Hayden after he got smashed into pieces before Doomguy finds him again in eternal. It allows for the explanation on how Hayden changed personalities through the games while also giving him a reason why he knew how all of this shit work, including his own "maykr" body and VEGA's architecture.
Sorta? The only one that really sticks out to be a gears inspired character is the Betrayer, most of the other sentinel shit has that "futuristic medieval" aesthetic and is mostly properly proportioned and not bulky. King Novik may be the only other exception but the dude was buff regardless.
Hayden is Samur, the maykr who put the Doom Marine into the Divinity Machine and stole the Father.
