>more cutscenes that actual gameplay
>boring brain-dead bamham combat with press 'x' to awesome takedown "moves"
>pretty much all of the worst aspects of modern AAA movie "games"
>but Yas Forums loves it because its japanese
Why the double standard?
More cutscenes that actual gameplay
That's just it, it's okay when Japan does it. Same with dogshit walking simulators like Yume Nikki and SotC.
Most of the board is unironically braindead.
>more cutscenes that actual gameplay
If you're not going to do sidequests and minigames, there's really no point playing Yakuza.
Majima is kino and fun characters in an interesting world can make a game, unlike tranny dyke propaganda american games.
>DUDE you can play space harrier and go bowling so quirky lol!
gimmicks that barely qualify as real gameplay
Because they actually make it fun.
Fun is not a legitimate reason to play something you fucking autist. It's a buzzword you throw out when you can't name a single good quality.
>more cutscenes that actual gameplay
How to spot someone who didnt play the game.
Fun itself is a good quality but I know you are baiting
It's not, fun is the result. If you can't explain what makes it fun then the game is dogshit. Simple as that.
It's called SOUL son
He's right though if you're one of those retards who only play Yakooza for the story. It's just one of those storyfag games that happen to have so much sidecontent, that the minigames & side content alone will easily last you 100s of hours of playing time.
i press the button, the images at the screen change, i feel good about how those pixels move around the screen in this particular game and make me wish to see more of those pixels moving around the screen as i input commands on the joystick.
Better than American movie "games" at least.
Games fun because of how braindead it's fighting is very simple and flashy. With enough variety of heat moves to get you through the game with it getting too boring.
It's kind of sad when you can't even recall a single good thing about the game other than it being "fun" and having "soul".
Nice meme words.
come on don't tell me you waste time playing shogi with an ai.
>It's kin
Not him but what's wrong with having fun? am I suppose to write a thesis on having fun? Would you like me to explain jokes to you aswell?
No, you are supposed to be able to explain what makes it fun. You know, the gameplay elements. But you are all braindead casual QTE babbies so I guess I expected too much.
meme word? you will just call it bad anyway, there is no point. i like to punch people around and dont know many modern games that let me do this and the japanese atmosphere is great. its enough for you? what other modern game let me just brawl around, already played other brawlers like urban reign and god hand a lot.
play outrun and karaoke retard
>Why the double standard?
Do I play the virtue signalling ramblings of a quota hired tranny to pander to braindead liberals
OR
Do I play a game with fun mechanics, hours upon hours of interesting side quests and a plot motivated by actually telling a story
Gee, user. I don't know
>the gameplay elements
I don't know what that is? Maybe tons of weapons to bash people over the head with? You want me to tell you why fighting games are fun?
>But you are all braindead casual QTE babbies so I guess I expected too much.
The sprinkling of QTE here and there is a nice interactive touch in this game. It's sparse enough to surprise you and really grip you in the middle of le epic boss fights.
based schizo
>every cutscene is repeating plot points in 10 minutes that could be explained in two
>every character goes "OI OI" and has le funi animations of moving around to prolong cutscenes
game was awful from day one, weebs just grin and eat this shit up
If Yakuza wasn’t Japanese Kiryu and Haruka would be beaten to death for an empowerment message.
The game is long, there is more gameplay than cutscenes, if you don't play them you are stupid.
The fighting system may not be the best, but it's fun.
And that's it, it's fun to play.
>Yas Forums unironically defending QTEs
Not too long ago someone was defending health regen too. I'm done with you fucking toddlers. Go fuck yourselves.
Yakuza is on PC now you can stop seething user
Since OP is a faggot, discuss this video instead.
I've never played a western movie game that had hilarious sidequests like unfolding an underground burusera girl ring to help some poor highschooler and his gf, or returning a stolen game to a kid that keeps getting stolen and stolen.
You literally just described anime. Why play an anime game if you don't like anime dingus?
>Not too long ago someone was defending health regen too
Health regen has it's place in certain games. It's just proliferated the market to such an extent creators didn't even know why they were using regen. They just kept doing it.
Similiar to how QTE is getting out of hand in some games.
Also Detriot: Become Human was a fun "game"
It was my yearly reminder to never listen to Yas Forums
After playing 0, K1, K2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Judgment, I can say that you'll either stay to enjoy the stories because you started with 1, 3, 5, 6, 0, or Judgment because they have stories that are actually decent especially if you're an action movie fanatic or something similar for games when the cutscenes give you the dopamine you need. (5 having a shit final part that makes the story pointless though while 0 and judgement are fine the whole way through, and 6 has an epilogue that made the game pointless. 3 is okay story wise but works more as a movie with how slow it gets to actually being a game. 1 is a bit generic and then K1 helps it out a bit more, but still more of a "safe" game that didnt do much different from action movies and soap operas) Or you're here because of the power fantasy trip you get from heat moves that are a sorry excuse to say the combat is fleshed out just because you watched a cutscene that did a lot of damage. Maybe you play through them because of how fucking dumb or bad they get but they at least entertain you like yakuza 2 where you have a giant ninja castle erupt out of the ground so you can go through a kung fu movie maze to end up fighting 2 tigers. It's honestly a trail mix of a video game series with various good things here, awful things there, and whatever else in the middle.
Because I played Yakuza 1 and 2 a year before 0 came out, and the pace of cutscenes in those games were way better.
Nintendo fags can’t handle a game that’s actually designed for an adult got it
