It pretty much isn't. The patch is basically really dumb stuff we didn't want working that way gets fixed. Outside a few things like Ladiva getting hurt quite a bit I doubt things will change that much. Maybe some power creep on a few characters, but Gran will still be very strong and easy to play. I can see a day of people exaggerating about how much their mid tier buffs mean to then realise that really the gap just got a bit shorter.
I think they could have been a bit more drastic, the game is pretty straight forward and after this much time there are some obvious fixes needed. We'll see if this was enough to keep people's attention for a few months.

I've never enjoyed fighters but a friend let me try it with steam remote play since I liked the artstyle, and I've been really enjoying it. I ended up buying one for myself and have fun playing in lobbies now, its been interesting learning all these weird autistic terms like the origin of "DP", frame data, and stuff that I've never heard about before

ASW hates grapplers and only puts them in for the sake of fulfilling a checklist of archetypes.

There were a few times where ASW grapplers were a major threat. One of the iterations of GGXX had Pot as a high tier threat and BBTAG briefly had the Age of Team Big Boiz (Tager/Wald).
