Villain twist makes absolutely no sense when looking back at his previous actions

Easily the worst Trails game. Prove me wrong

It was the worst until a couple years later.

Nah user, CS is way better than Azure

It has a great plot throughout most of the game and has tension that you don't really see much in trails. Cold Steel 2 is the worst Trails game, but I would be interesting to see someone argue against this.

Yea but the ending completely undoes all the great events throughout the game. I loved CS2 because i really enjoyed travelling the world in the air ship and reconnecting with class 7. If anything, from a story perspective, i think CS3 is weaker

Every game has its moments.
Ao is pretty damn strong and busting out of jail with Garcia then picking the group back up was neat, also the dynamic with KeA as a character.
CS2 gets tied together by the ending, when you find out that you spent the entire game killing off and/or imprisoning Noseborn's enemies so that he could consolodate his power.
CS3 has the entire Crossbell chapter where Rean can't look anyone in the eye and it's pretty fucking kino going back there with the wrong protagonist after you conquered it.

I love all the games in the series for different reasons. Picking a "worst" just feels lame and gay when I enjoy them all as part of a continuous story.

CS2 storywise is a mess
>Rean entire motivation is dumb; let's bring the terrorist back to school yay
>It's completely nonsense even if you've done all crow events in CS1, there's no chemistry between them there
>Entire VII class is on board with Rean even when some of them shouldn't be
>Nobody says anything to stop their dumb idea to bring Crow back
>Olivier gives them a airship for reasons
>We're neutral but actually not
>One person died in the entire war and everybody is saying how tragic war is
It's like they were trying to recreate some segments of Sky but failed wonderfully thanks to making characters solely cliches which don't grow at all
And let's not forget how much the game is centered around Rean, no one is ever allowed to even fart without Rean's permission

Actually the main objective for most of CS2 has nothing to do with Crow.

It's "Let's take our school back from the terrorists"

It does make sense and it isn't even a twist if you do the hidden quests

>Let's take our school back from the terrorists
No it's not and they accomplished it before the main reason which IS related to Crow
They hammer it down on your head so many times along with the power of friendship that I don't know how can you say otherwise

I do agree the whole Crow thing is stupid but that's still an issue in CS3 so it's not unique to 2. I don't see how Olivier giving them an airship is an issue. As for being neutral, that's obviously impossible but they do try. What do you mean, one person died in the war?

It is and as soon as they take back their school the game goes into endgame and the new objective is to turn off the giant evil death tower.
Bringing back Crow is never a primary goal, it's just one of Rean's motivations.

>What do you mean, one person died in the war?
Barkhorn...

The PSP game cases were the greatest. I liked seeing them next to my home console game cases like some sort of set of little brother games.

How does it make sense? If he and the mayor are behind it all why would they help out SSS? It's not like they use them as an important piece. The mayor even makes Wazy a part of the group. Why on earth would you make someone like him a part of a group that has stumbled upon your secret plan? Why does Ian assist them at all? Would it not make much more sense for him to simply tell them he was busy in order to avoid them? Also, time travel is almost always lame and this is no exception. That's not even mentioning the red constellation which is the most cringe worthy thing in the entire series except for McBurn

Are you saying he is the only victim in the war?

It sounds like nothing will convince you otherwise. Good day to you.

Otto...

>Bringing back Crow is never a primary goal, it's just one of Rean's motivations
It's the entire motivation for Rean and class VII which they point out constantly tho

Now I don't even feel like bothering with CS2.
Relationships feel so forced

>It sounds like nothing will convince you otherwise
If someone can point me towards something i've missed that explains how the 3 people pulling the strings make one stupid move after another when it comes to SSS, i will be convinced. It is possible i've missed something but looking back at the interactions between SSS and the mayor or Ian, i find it very hard to believe that people who can pull of a plan like this would make such obvious mistakes

Your loss

No it isn't. Are you illiterate?
It's something they rally behind but never something they actually act on. The goal is always to retake Trista and never anything else.

None of them knew about Wazy's identity.
The plan was for the SSS to be shattered and Lloyd locked up. Lloyd was helped by Garcia first (unexpected rogue element) and then by the church team.

But that does not explain why the mayor helps them out during the staged red constellation attacks or why Ian helps them with various quests during both Crossbell games. Also, it seems unlikely that a group working with Ouroboros wasn't alerted to Wazy's identity given they seem to know everything. The steel maiden, Campanella or the enigneer guy all crosses paths with him. Surely they'd find out right? And Maribell has powers equal to them and is an alchemist. She should have been able to figure it out too

Yeah and I guess Weisman would have known Kevin's identiy too and avoided a salty death?
Crossbell was supposed to be safe from Dominion intervention, they all violated their code by entering. It was extremely unexpected.

Nigga, Rean says he's gonna get Crow all the time and his class always back him up on it, just because there's an bonding event which Rean says he knew it was just an impossible dream it doesn't diminish the hundred times he says he's bringing crow back
And you never feel like retaking Trista is the main objective in any part of the game because they push the friendship theme so fucking much it starts to get annoying

So what, you thought FC was a game all about searching for Cassius?

Weissman didn't care until he realized the mind control block installed in Joshua at which point it was too late. It's also unrelated to Azure. We're talking about a group who can teleport at will and have seemingly limitless powers and tech that is far more advanced than anyone else. If all it takes to fool them is a simple disguise then the governments should stock up on fake beards and dark sun glasses

Weissman had the same advantages as anyone else in Ouroborus.
They can be fooled, they can be avoided.
What gives you the impression they are omniscient?
There's never a case where they learn something they shouldn't know inexplicably, if they do know something it's because they are being fed information.

Cassius plot was mostly contained in 2 chapters where they unravel the sky bandits plot, from the Ruan chapter on they're already trying to get their brace approval.
No idea why you're trying to compare them when the story and execution of both are extremely different

Not true, Estelle constantly brings up her father. It must be the focus of the entire game!

>Weissman had the same advantages as anyone else in Ouroborus
There is a difference between knowing the identity of a high ranking opponent and knowing an opponent has installed a mind control block in another guy. They are not comparable
>They can be fooled, they can be avoided
Apparently all it takes is a change of clothes yet they always seem to know all other crucial details, can teleport, be invisible, mind control, transmit images and sound across the country etc. I still do not think it makes any sense within the world they exist
>What gives you the impression they are omniscient?
Nothing but think about it like this - You're an evil super villain trying to pull of a world changing plan. The only immediate threat is the SSS who you've already encountered a couple of times. Suddenly 2 new team members join the team. One of them is the leader of a gang in the slums with no previous police or military experience. It stands to reason that an evil genious would probably wonder how that came to be and who he is

You can literally say this exact same thing about Kevin joining Estelle.

Estelle mentions it whenever it's relevant in the guilds where people know Cassius and when the black orbment makes something weird, unlike in CS2 in which they do the entire time for no reason and some are way out of place
Nevermind it's her fucking father missing and not some fuckboy you know for few months

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Coldsteel retards are brain-damaged

>You can literally say this exact same thing about Kevin joining Estelle
Who says he cares? It's not the same scenario at all. Stay on topic. The point is, in the scenario in Azure it makes no sense at all they would not know who Wazy is, given the circumstances of him joining the SSS
