My argument is that when art tries to copy reality, the best it can create is a subpar copy of reality. Why would you want that when reality exists?
When are doesn't try to copy reality, but focuses on concepts instead, it can create something entirely new and exciting that doesn't exist in nature.
Anime is significant because it is unnatural. That's it's strength, not a flaw.

it's hard to draw distict faces, especially cheekbones. So many people just give up and stick to a single generic face structure so that every picture looks like a repaintet barbie doll. At least some of the artists try to get faces that you can distinguish from features aside from their eyecolour and haircut, neither of these artworks evem tried to do that. Because they are both trash.
