Not him but time traveling in ac is usually just a thing that you do to break the game for yourself, which imo is fine. The issue is that when you start going over to other people’s islands and they have like Xmas shit and Halloween shit 1 week into the game. It’s really game breaking, makes it feel really shitty to walk around and see all that shit. The game is about waiting and watching things unfold. I don’t mind if someone doesn’t want to wait, but when the majority of players want to wait they don’t want to essentially be spoiled as to what the holidays and events provide.

Personally I think ac has really not changed too much from the core. You talk to villagers, you plant fruit trees and flowers, you watch them grow. You pick up shit and sell it. You fish and collect bugs.
I think it’s the fans of the game who have radically changed since GameCube days.
