Honestly, when you start facing Overloading Worms you're most likely already having a really good run so you shouldnt have too much trouble dealing with them. Meanwhile Magma Worms can appear earlier on during the run and screw you over. Not to mention the burn damage can mess you up if you don't have stuff like Repulsion Armor Plate to nullify it to an extent.

That's the reason I don't think overloading worms are as threatening in two, they show up way too late to be much of a problem.

some people do vanilla risky 1 and 4 mans. If you do wanna do vanilla 1, at least use the mod loader, it fixes a lot of bugs

what killed me was the fact they had ice bands, and a ukulele , and one sticky bomb. it also managed to somehow proc brainstalks, and regens more than i could dish out because of that fuckin slug.

if you stack enough movement speed, umbras usually kill themselves. that might be a solution next time you do this, get like 6 red whips.
the goal was to stack only the bare minimum to kill everything and survive endless meteor spam. ill consider red whips but at the same time id like to go all in on

anything that isnt specifically those was out of the question but due to the items that enemies stacked it became a real issue. ideally id like to avoid afterburners and dios as well since the goal is to crash the game but also win. generally if its not for immediate quick movement, attack speed, or cooldown reduction i dont want it. red whips may kill the umbras but that doesnt solve the problem of long term survival
