150+ ping easily nets you 500ms of peekers advantage
if you see a youtube shill or streamer sprint-push into a room stacked full of enemies and come out alive they're most likely running high ping. it's that advantageous

How hard is it to cheat in this game?

define "hard". battleye tends to filter less skilled cheat devs so might be hard to find public cheats.
i make my own cheats so unless you do something retarded code wise its not worth the reverse engineering resources to go after you since there is only 1 user.

So you are saying if you are able to write code to alter the mechanics the anti cheat is worthless?

more like: if you write your stuff and have sufficient knowledge of battleye to dodge instaban pitfalls, you can create enough benefit-of-doubt to require human intervention in the form of reverse engineering.
since this is expensive and resources are limited its unwise to spend those resources on a potential cheat used by 1 guy as opposed to a public cheat used by hundreds since the payoff is much smaller.
makes sense?
