Which one?

Dragon Quest XI. It's the epitome of honest straight forward adventure.

Dragons Dogma is only game where I enjoy going out to grand adventures with couple pawns

Baldur gate, you go thro a fun adventure. Just ignore the main quest line.

heroine's quest

magicka 2

Adventure with cunny and no judgement, guilt or prosecution is the best kind of adventure.

It's pronounced like

shee- lay- lee

everyone will look at you stupid but that's what the irish people actually say it like

first time i saw anyone mention dark devotion on this board. Neat little game, really good example.

Dragon Quest XI will sate your comfy wanderlust noble frog.

>grand adventure
>following linear paths in a world with zero interaction other than the player
>enemies spawn in the exact same places every time and only difference is day/night
>enemies will ignore other NPCs walking around but attack the player

What a wasted opportunity this game was. The combat is fun, the pawn system is fun, the dialogue is very wholesome and adventurey, but god damn the world is so BAD. Take the good points of DD and put it into a more "living" world with NPCs & creatures going about their business, interacting etc (like TES), and a proper open world instead of linear paths, and THAT would be a kino adventure game.

Old Irish is a lovely language.

Nox

The game had a lot of problems during development. The director, despite his incredible resume, was not given the resources and time he needed, and a lot of content had to be scrapped, too. It is a great shame, but such is the industry.

the Xenoblade series have great locations to explore with some great bros. Also Dark Souls is great if you’re okay with a darker & lonelier setting.

DD with a breathing world, and ever stronger versions of big monsters so that a big fight is always exciting instead of over in two seconds, would make it absolutely incredible. I would happily take a fully realized remake of DD over a sequel, including everything it was originally intended to have, plus general improvements (including the breathing world and big monsters never being a pushover).

Its comfy but also hard and sometimes tedious (travel by foot everywhere). You get a real feeling of adventure, the planning, preparation risk management is pretty neat.

Plus the original menu music instead of dark arisens highly generic downgrade

I read that outward has no real world interaction (NPCs creatures etc doing things, no one else out adventuring in the world) is that true?

Lack of dynamic interaction is very anti-adventure feeling to me because I don't like to feel special, I like to feel like im in an actual living world with stuff going on regardless of what I do.

Dragon Quest. VIII if you want to set out across the world, DS version if you have it and don't mind losing the orchestra (I imagine you might if you are looking for "adventure"), XI is good if you need "modern game" quality of life changes, but I think VIII has a much better "welcome to a fantasy world full of mystery and danger" vibe (and the english dub is great).

Is Outward a good podcast game or is it like STALKER where that ruins the atmosphere?

what the fuck is a podcast game?

Dumb Frogposter the Game

you can use the twitch web app to install modpacks easily. I recommend the rogue-like adventures and dungeons (RAD) modpack. it has a ton cool stuff and lets you roleplay as a wizard.

I think user is talking about a good game to play while listening to a podcast in the background.

This is a thing now? I presumed people only do this in mmorpgs.

Dumb mindless shit to give you something to do when you actually want to listen to a podcast. Playing Far Cry 4 for that now.
