Why can't devs just support Linux? Is it really that hard to make a Linux version of a game? Is it due to NVidia's mediocre Linux support? Windows causes so much fucking frustration. I just want to play video games.

The economics of the matter suggest that even if Linux was the most popular platform there would be a concerted effort to privatize it if people stood to gain money from propitiatory software for it.

So it's human nature that good things can't happen, essentially.

>support linux
Okay, which flavor of linux?
Which packages?
Which version of homebrewed cobbled together drivers that all of them have because they operate on blobs instead of actual drivers from real manufacturers?
Which version of frontend, too? Mono? WINE?

This is why devs don't support Linux.

It's not even the muh freedumbs aspect, it's that Windows 10 is a fucking clusterfuck of an OS with 5 or 6 different UIs jumbled into one that actively fights you from doing whatever the fuck you want to do. On the one hand it feels like it was designed for tablets or other devices, on the other hand it feels like it was designed to be a PC version of Xbox OS, on the other foot it feels like a successor to 7. Why do I have Add or Remove Programs and Add or Remove Apps? Why are they seperate? Why does my PC OS have apps and an app store? Why the fuck is this allowed?

I mean you're not wrong. SteamOS was our best bet to defeat it, and unfortunately Valve is too retarded to get a good version of it down for general presentation to the public.

Because Linux is bad,.

I play and install games just fine on Windows. If you don't like Windows for other reason's fair enough but if you want to play video games on PC stop being a faggot.
