The only reason people didn't clamor for ARMS is because everyone thought its chances for a character were dead in the water the moment the AT and Mii costumes were revealed. Lots of people thought ARMS would get a rep before that was revealed, there was just no point in going "I think there's going to be an ARMS character" in your predictions when everyone thought it was already disqualified
