A fucking fish

>a fucking fish
>so secure and confident that he gets a fish tattoo instead of a dragon, tiger, or hannya
sounds pretty based to me
Just started Kiwami after 0. Is it supposed to feel depressing and soulless? Kamurocho doesn't feel as lively as it did in 0.
Koi are kind of a big deal in Japan.
>fucking a fish
>Red koi in tattoos represent love of some kind, typically strong, masculine love, such as the fraternal bonds of yakuza membership
Kiwami is one of the weaker games in the series. Kiwami 2 is a giant step up.
KILL THAT MOTHERFUCKER
sounds really fucking gay
0 was a brand new game, Kiwami is just an old game transplanted into the 0 engine. Believe it or not, all of this talk about "soul vs soulless" ignores the fact that old games were far simpler and didn't possess as much substance as they appeared to when they were first released. Kiwami 2 definitely did better, but 0 was a fucking experience that I sincerely appreciate. Sadly, I know that I cannot go back and play it again without it losing its magic.
Its weird. It feels like an upgrade and downgrade from 0 at the same time. Graphics look better in gameplay, but in cutscene they look worse. I think it has to do with the lighting since most of 0s story took place at night, and the funeral portion took place in the day.
How about both?
It's deliberate, 1/Kiwami starts right after the real-estate bubble burst in Japan. Kiryu's decade of jail-time is also to parallel this:

This. irl, guys you should be scared are the soft spoken ones who don't need to prove anything because they can and will do it themselves.
Kiwami is weak as shit, shit for minigames, shit for side content.
Literally just trudge through the story as best you can because the plot is very relevant and the finall boss fight is EXTREME amounts of kino. Don't even worry about ranking up dragon style it's too much work for not enough reward just git gud with Rush or something.
Kiwami 2 is fucking excellent though, entire new engine, YOU CAN WALK INTO CONVENIENCE STORES WITHOUT A LOADING SCREEN. Was magical compared to Kiwami 1
>0 was a fucking experience that I sincerely appreciate
I should have stopped at 0. What happens to my boy Nishiki is depressing.
Kiwami 2s combat is garbage.
It was definitely a rushed game. Still better than actually playing the original, though. Worst part was every boss regenerating every single health bar. What's the point? Why not just give them more health instead?
0 and kiwaminiggers really would be the type of idiot to make a bait thread like this.
I liked it but it felt way too easy compared to 0, still way better than Kiwami 1's bullshit "every boss has superarmor and counters constantly and guard breaks while spamming the same really lazy ass attack"
Was going turn-based RPG a smart move?
Isn't that fish the one about "swimming upstream" and a symbol of determination or something?
Also, this:
Interesting read. Thanks user
>till way better than Kiwami 1's bullshit "every boss has superarmor and counters constantly and guard breaks while spamming the same really lazy ass attack
True. I found out that spamming the first 2 punches of rush repeatedly while behind a boss would stun lock them. Although even then there were some bosses rooftop faggot with 4 respawning armed guards that were completely ridiculous.
I also saw an explanation that it's about some story of koi turning into dragons, which pokemon also references with magikarp.
its a koi which floats against the current to reach the mouth of the river, where the dragon resides. Kiryu has a dragon tattoo.
>he doesn't know the myth about koi
It's pretty fucking symbolic of Nishki and Kiryu's relationship, dude. It's also used in 5 as the only hint you get about who the final boss is because they used the same symbolism in a slightly different way.
>that spoiler
I was enjoying my life just fine having forgotten about that helipad fight
You keep making this thread, and you keep getting told the story behind it.
>implying he wont just do lazer surgery to remove the tattoo and replace it later with a dragon
>Literally explains in the game that when a koi fish finishes swimming upstream, it turns into a dragon.
>NISHIKI WANTS TO BE GREATER THEN KIRYU, HE'S SACRIFICED HIS INTEGRITY AND HONOR TO BE GREATER THEN HIS BRO WHO ACTUALLY IS A REAL DRAGON. IT'S SYMBOLIC OF HIS FALL FROM GRACE. IF HE BEATS KIRYU, HE WILL HAVE BECOME THE NEW DRAGON OF DOJIMA.
Everything has to be spelled out for retards jesus.
Didn't know about that one. Thanks for the tip, man; gonna search about it.
At least his animal exists.
