Switch's left joycon is doing the dreaded drift

>Switch's left joycon is doing the dreaded drift
>Repair center is shut down due to coronavirus
>Decide to repair it myself, how hard can it be
>Follow the instructions to the letter
>Get to the part where I have to unlock/remove the ribbon cable for the L/minus buttons
>Unlock the lock (the thingy the red/yellow arrow is pointing to in the picture)
>It just fucking disappears
>(I mean, I heard it snap like it unlocked, but it must've flown off and disappeared somewhere, and I have no idea where it landed or what crevice it could possibly be stuck in)
>Also the ribbon cable gets a little scratched up
>Replace the control stick and put everything back together as best I can (sticking the L/minus ribbon cable back in but not locking it)
>Now my L and minus buttons are non-responsive (but everything else is fine)

Am I fucked, Yas Forums? Would I be fine if I just replaced the L/minus ribbon cable, or does the lack of that latch cause the whole thing to not function? Am I stuck with just buying another joycon?

You're fucked from the beginning for buying Nintendo shit.

Do pro controllers have this problem?

You’d have to be retarded to mess up such a simple procedure
>ebin troll trying this hard for yous
yikes

>or does the lack of that latch cause the whole thing to not function?
yeah, that's supposed to drive the cable all the way in. it may be in there but it's not making contact.

>Heh, this chump actually enjoys playing childish video games instead of my superior interactive movies

>Dislike Nintendo in the slightest.
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU ARE A TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL MUUUUUUUUUUM
Get a life.

Nigga like dont buy Fischer price toys like wtf XD

Just buy another one, poor nigger.
This is why I use a Pro controller instead of the incel cons.

Yeah, I'm thinking based.
