i really enjoyed being able to explore midgar more

I like when Sephiroth appeared every 7 seconds

[imminent rape]

combat is fun and graphics are pretty

Pretty much everything until the last hour. It's like Nomura wanted you to forget he directed it until the very end then he just throws a bunch of stupid bullshit at you that is worse than everything else.

Gamplay, expanded character interaction and the fact they've declared things can change now.

the combat

Everything, including the story and the music especially.
I feel bad for the people who didn’t get to experience it blind and instead shitposted about «time jannies» here.

Chapter 9. All of chapter 9.

the time jannies meme was really funny though

Almost everything.

>they've declared things can change now
Yes and guess who's in charge of those changes? Nomura. Every "change" is going to have 10 new questions behind it that are stupid as fuck anyway. We already fought super powered Sephiroth too whom we time travelled to in order to fight or some shit? Does anybody even know what happened with that at the end? Why did we fight Sephiroth? Why did we fight him in Midgar being destroyed by Meteor when in the "timeline" that Meteor hit he was dead already? Everything from the arbiters through the Sephiroth fight is so fucking stupid fuck Nomura I can't believe he pulled that shit at the very end after the rest of the game was great.

It's just to give the game a memorable climax and fuel speculation and hype for the next game. Then it'll be the exact same as OG FF7 anyway.

I thought the Sephiroths Cloud kept encountering throughout the game were just his hallucinations from having some kinda PTSD, not the actual Sephiroth.

But then he appears for real at the end or some shit, right? I haven't played all the way through it yet.

I wish I could believe that but I absolutely don't. The entire time I was trying to look at it from the perspective of someone that hadn't played the original and it was awesome, as a longtime fan it was also awesome. Then at the end neither side would have any idea wtf is going on and the worst part is I don't care about what was going on, I don't want to know what any of that shit meant I just want it to not exist I don't care if there are multiple timelines, I don't care if Zach didn't die in another timeline I don't care about what Sephiroth meant with the 7 seconds shit none of that shit is interesting it's all stupid trash and there is no way that shit won't be a big part of the plot going forward.

some of the sephys are schizo cloud PTSD flashbacks but a lot of them are sephy/jenova trying to manipulate him

everything but sepiroth and time jannies

They are the clones which is handled very nicely but then you teleport to him when Meteor is hitting or some shit at the end it is nonsensical garbage that 100% did not need to happen. There is 0 reason it couldn't have ended after the last bike section right outside Midgar it would have been perfect.

sephi was kino mate

>Aerith
>seeing old locations revisted
>Aerith

If you have shit taste and think he's a Kingdom Hearts character

Dude that's the point. They need to make sure that no one knows for sure so they are forced to get the next game. It's a win-win if you leave any kind of doubt. New players can't just play the OG because they can't wait, and old player will want to know wtf is going end. They'll throw some bullshit to explain it sure, but in the grand scheme of things it will not matter as everything will still unfold like it did before.

The shinra/avalanche stuff
The music
The combat although it could be better
The characters getting more time to shine
The setting, Midgar is so cool

Aerith? A man of good taste. And I didn't like her much in the OG.

I really like how all the characters are fun to play as. I was expecting the game to just shill cloud and make all the other characters worthless. Also most of the new characters they added were enjoyable and felt like they fit in the world. Fighting the summons, fighting in simulations, and fighting in the tournament were all good. But I wonder how it will change the summons in the next game. Also the inclusion of hell house was done well.

Also kirie

fuck that fanfic trsh

if you're a kh tard then yeah

I can't get enough of the gameplay, its so fun

you saying you don't like the man who lost his best friends, finding out he's a monster then losing his mind?

Daily reminder that there are 3 Sephiroths

1. Real Sephiroth who controls clone Sephiroth with number 2 tattoo from the Northern Cave, freed Jenova's body, killed the president, host body used to be a SOLDIER, uses the pronoun watashi. He uses Clone 49 (Marco) to transform to Jenova Dreamweaver
2. Whisper Sephiroth, can control the whispers to summon meteor, illusion world, angel wing, uses the pronoun ore but doesn't speak much
3. Good guy Sephiroth, the one at the Edge of Creation, battles Cloud without any special powers, uses the pronoun ore.

Number 2 and 3 cannot be a time traveling Sephiroth from Advent Children as that Sephiroth is dead and uses the pronoun watashi.

finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Sephiroth
>In the Japanese releases, Sephiroth uses the pronoun ore prior to his insanity, a common masculine pronoun used by confident males. Following the Nibelheim Incident, he begins to use watashi, a more formal pronoun that is genderless in formal context, likely because he now sees himself as superior to everyone else. This post-madness mannerism carries into his spin-off appearances, such as Dissidia Final Fantasy.

What about all the negative things I liked about it?

Good Idea: Recreating classic scenes from the original ending.
Bad Idea: Putting them into the first quarter of the game.

The combat and Aerith.

Aerith was always my waifu and seeing her back in true form actually made the purchase worth it

>lost his best friends
If this is a CC reference you can fuck off he never needed more backstory. He was a super soldier and a war hero that discovered his origins and had an identity crisis just like the main character, that was the theme and it was done well in the original and was strong. The original isn't loved retroactively because of AC and CC it's loved apart from that shit because it's good on its own and never needed any of that shit Square is just fucking retarded and greedy.

I was extremely surprised that nuSquare actually captured Aerith and Barret's original personalities well in the remake. I liked that. Tifa was a little weird, though.

The whole game was good idea, bad idea
Good Idea: Spending more time in the slums and allowing the player to become more attached
Bad Idea: Awful fetch quests and new side characters that are given a bigger role

I loved all the new exploration we got in Midgar like the upper plate oh wait...

Attached: 987665.png (1920x1080, 1.99M)

so you're ok with him being evil just because?

They would have to heavily revise the story for you to be able to explore the upper plates.

nice headcanon

The game keeps changing your expectations with the various Sephiroths. Your first interaction is completely on your own, but then you encounter a few clones who appear as Sephiroth to Cloud alone. Then he has a few complete crazy mode moments where he sees a Sephiroth hallucination that simply isn't there for anybody else, including a few moments completely inside his own head. Then you have clones that are transforming and attacking people as both Sephiroth and Jenova. And then there's the final battle with no evidence of him being a clone. There really is no consistent logic to them.

He was never evil "just because" you fucking idiot

if you say so smooth brain hi, losing his shit just because you're monster is pretty stupid

Which part do you disagree with?
