No they don't. Serving British Sikhs are one of the extremely few exceptions to wearing a helmet to this day.

Helmets aren't really designed to be bulletproof, especially back then, so there wasn't really much incentive to make a whole new helmet that fits over it. Helmets are really only for stopping shrapnel and protecting against falls.
