What video games have you been playing on your Linux machine recently?

deus ex and doom with hideous destructor, goodbye
why do people on Linux have so good taste in video games?
played a bit of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy (works fine except for some weird font rendering fuck-ups, unless that happens on Windows too)
played some Penumbra Overture
finished Turok
played some Downwell
played some Switch 'N' Shoot (fuck you it's fun)
BallisticNG
It's really good
Neverwinter Nights
Anyone has experience playing 2hu(especially 6-12) on Linux?
Do they work well?
Started a new New Vegas playthrough.
>Using a half baked OS that doesn't respect your time and expects YOU to make it usable
Did you post in the wrong thread? This is about gaming on GNU/Linux.
You can get advice on setting up all the software that isn't included, and attemping to remove all the built-in crap, on one of the GNU/NT threads.
>trying to shitpost after the thread has already gotten off to a good start
You're late! I know it's only 5:25 AM in India right now but come on. You'll have to be faster if you want that $0.01 salary.
obsessed
You posted this in the last thread with a similar image and then said Linux is bad because of reasons that only apply to fucking Gentoo.
Why does anyone get mad about Linux gaming? If you don't like it, don't do it. Nobody's forcing anyone to play on Linux. I can't imagine why anyone would actually be mad about the fact that you can if you want to.
Same reason people get mad at consoles they don't own even when they're no longer 13 and have decent incomes. They fear change and their own inability to deal with it.
They think if PC gaming shifts to GNU/Linux it will be like if it shifted to another console, because everything on Windows is proprietary shit, and everything on MacOS is proprietary shit, that somehow if games switch to GNU/Linux-first development suddenly they won't get games. They have no conception of a platform based on open standards even though they have a point of reference they use every day in the form of a web browser.
>can run Windows games on Linux
>can't run Linux games on Windows
Microsoft BTFO
Are there any Linux exclusives? I don't actually know.
BASED.
None, because I only use Linux for Servers like Linus intended.
I only use Windows for spreadsheets like Bill Gates intended.
>Linux for Servers like Linus intended.
Linux intended for Linux to be used by hobbyists on i386 desktops though
Mods have been deleting these threads pretty regularly lately.
I'm mostly playing PS3 games. Enjoying Drakengard 3 with the 60fps hack.
>Mods have been deleting these threads pretty regularly lately.
Why?
If I had to guess probably because operating systems are more /g/ material and these threads always devolve into OS or distro wars.
Because these threads are pretty much generals.
Do people unironically use Loonix for gaymen?
Why would you do that when Windows is bastly superior?
no compatibility layers / emulation / vm needed
It's comfy unironically. Only thing I really miss is Mod Organizer 2 but Skyrim tiddy mods aren't enough for me to want to switch back.
>Why would you do that
Because I can. Why endure Windows to play games that don't need to be played on Windows?
>no compatibility layers
lol
Majority of games NEED Windows to run. You need a third-party tool to make them work on Linux, which is a waste of time in the end.
How is comfy?
You can have tittymods if you're willing to settle for Vortex
youtube.com
>How is comfy?
Finding the right distro for you and then customizing it to suit your needs to the letter is maximum comfy. Everything just werks and my OS only does what I tell it to do.
I could try that I guess.
Knocked Alien Isolation off my wishlist since it was 2 fucking dollars. Runs better in Proton than natively because reasons. I'll play it eventually. Want to watch Aliens first. Playing Under Night right now, messing around with a character.
0AD if you're into Age of Empires style stuff. Simply the best real time strategy game made by men. Check it out, it's in every repository.
Why do people on Yas Forums keep posting about Linux like it's 2003?
Also mainly been playing Tekken 7, Rimworld and CS.
I use it for my Skyrim SE playthrough at it works good enough.
Probably because of all the Valve buzz happening in the last year or two. ACO for Mesa drivers, their fsync kernel patches, Proton actually being good unlike how it was a few years ago, etc.
More people are catching on. I welcome them.
People who don't know tend to be the loudest.
>Majority of games NEED Windows to run.
More than half of the most popular 1000 games on Steam don't need Windows but okay.
>You need a third-party tool to make them work on Linux, which is a waste of time in the end.
Yeah clicking that checkbox to enable Proton for all my Steam games took so much of my time. lol
