Why did Activision feel the need to remake games that weren't even good when they first came out? Nobody fucking cared about Crash or Spyro anymore and still doesn't.

cope and seethe

but those games sold millions and the remakes also sold millions. so i don't know is this some kind of bait thread?

But those games were really fun

>N-nobody fucking cared about C-Crash, ahoo!

Even Japan cared about Crash, you wuss.

>Why did Activision feel the need to remake games that weren't even good when they first came out?

Theres been a lot of bait threads lately for some reason.

They're all great games, you just have no taste.

As for why Activision felt the need to remake them, probably because they're just sitting on those IPs and not really doing anything with them. Skylanders long ago became anything but Spyro related and Crash was just... Virtually dead.

Starting from scratch with what fucking works is a great way to start a franchise back up.

Good bait.

This is bait, but remaking games that were disappointing would be ideal. There's way more room for improvement than remaking games that were good to start with.

First one is just a blatant "pretend image posted said these words"

So its like the Eggman bit but with Cortex?

What are the odds it's all one person?

>Nobody fucking cared about Crash or Spyro anymore and still doesn't.
I want ESL to die

Pretty low, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

The giveaway is the word "callout", that is only ever used in the OP to reference that clip.

whats up with all these recent “Crash and Spyro were never good” threads

Seething Sonicfags.

I figure its an angry Sonicfag. They keep making em mad.

God, I wish they would get a good crossover that isn't just a bunch of shitty mini games. Before the virus I figured that new games were in store for both of them, shit, they still are top 20 sellers years on. That's approaching doing better than the original versions of the games. Activision would have to be retarded not to use what they have to make wholly new games.

What if I like Crash, Spyro and Sonic?

CTR NF sorta gave them a crossover, but the GP itself featuring Spyro was barebones and they never even officially met. I hope Activisions new game is a real crossover between them.
I like Crash, Spyro, Banjo, Donkey Kong, Jak and Ratchet. Mario and Sonic just never clicked with me. I do like to mess with Sonicshitters though because most of the fanbase is autistic and insecure. Even when I was a kid-teen everyone made fun of Sonic.

Why did you feel the need to suck my cock so hard?

Ah, so you've switched your bait from just railing on the remakes to outright lunacy.

3/10 just for getting me to reply. You should go play some games, user.

GIB CTR PC PORT.

Somehow I think FF7R finally broke part of Yas Forums.

Remake good game
>Lol, soulless cashgrab, original was perfect, don't touch
Remake mediocre game
>Lol, why even remake it, no one cares

guys wtf, why you taking the bait?

Honestly, I genuinely thought this as well, and sort of still do.
Crash always felt like inferior attempt at 3d platformer to everything else, the idea of going in one direction on one path felt unimaginative, but after playing the N-Sane Trilogy, I grew to appreciate it. I still hate the controls though, they somehow made every jump feel delayed and imprecise for some reason.

As for Spyro, I still think it's mediocre, at least the first one. It feels like an attempt at making an N64 game on a console that isn't powerful enough for it. It just looks and feels stiff and has this eerie empty feel to it. It's like a good and finished version of Bubsy3D, especially when compared to Mario64 or Banjo, with fluid controls, dynamic camera, better graphics etc.

CTR though, it's just a kart racing game, not sure what's there to hate about it, other than microtransactions I suppose.

Bianca is such a great bun.

>Played through the classic Spyro trilogy for my first time a few months before the remaster released
>Thought it was fun as fuck the entire time, extra characters included

Attached: 1559081699176.png (420x361, 159.73K)

I think having extra playable characters is usually a bad idea.
Either they are worse to play than the main character, in which case why include them?
Or they are more fun, in which case why not make them the main character?

The eternal contrarianism that is Yas Forums.

I think they were running out of ideas of what to do with Spyro, in their own words, "because he can't hold a gun." That didn't stop them from making a Tony Hawk's minigame within the third one, though.

Crash remake has a pill hit box compared to the originals. You'll be missing a lot more jumps than the ps1 version.
