If anyone cares I have some minor inside info for Fallout 76 + some general Bethesda leaks. source is from a recent company Zoom meeting.
Fallout 76 will get a paid DLC later this year, it takes place in the Pitt from Fallout 3. It's a separate map from the main map. Seems heavily focused on Brotherhood of Steel but I'm not super familiar with Fallout lore so I could be mistaken.
Doom did really well, is getting dlc this summer. Like you can create your own levels or challenges kind of thing.
Starfield is basically just The Outer Worlds. Just saw screens and concept and a guy describing it. Seemed... Kinda boring to be honest. Says the game is about making meaningful choices that change the story.
The mobile Elderscrolls game shit the bed, will go into maintenance mode. Talked about Fallout Shelter 2 a lot.
Elderscrolls 6 isn't even in production. But the big news is that they're evaluating different game engines. This game is far away... The presenter was saying how they need to get the dev cycle down so they can release these games quicker, part of the reason they're looking at different engines is so that theyll have an easier time recruiting and training up devs if they use something like Unreal.
A total side note is that there's a port of Oblivion in the works by a small team in India. It'll be barebones, some minor graphic and UI updates. Itll be on all platforms and includes all DLC
That's it really. Lots of "this is a tough time for all of us" and a lot of Financials talk.
>brought FO76 >brought Fallout 1st >they expect me to buy DLC
ha..ha... probably
Levi Wright
Part of the presentation was about how to monetize Fallout 76. Cosmetics don't sell, Fallout 1st isn't really doing much. Instead they're shifting to small paid content updates. Smaller than Elder Scrolls Onlines packs.
> Starfield [...] is about making meaningful choices that change the story. Bullshit. Modern Bethesda games are all about making the player feel like a “badass” who can do anything but for choices to feel like they matter, players will have to give up some other opportunity. That might make them feel like they made the wrong decision and thus, not like a badass. At most you’ll get three decisions that actually changes how the game goes but most of the choices that look important will lead to interchangeable outcomes.

dude, no one even gives a shit. and if you do, kys you cancerous faggot for enabling devs like these. seriously

>Fallout 76 dlc No surprise there. I'm just waiting until they decide to sell the entire game again as a single player edition at full price. >Doom dlc No surprise either >Starfield Oh boy, can't wait to join the Intergalactic Brotherhood to take down the Space Institution with all these meaningful choices >Mobile Surprise. Not. >ES6 I thought that was suppose to be their next project >New engine I mean recycled Gamebryo gets shit pretty often, but it does make it stand out from the others. Sounds like a potential disaster and plenty of interference from the board >Oblivion port No surprise there, India is used to handling shit.

shut up retard

This was my first all hands, so I'm not sure what others already knew about the game, but office chatter is that the game was REALLY close to the Outer Worlds. Like, you have a wacky crew on a junker space ship, the humor is similar in tone to Fallout, the story is about corporations trying to colonize new Star systems, etc.
James Smith
Oh yeah, the Switch pretty of Elderscrolls mobile is cancelled. That team is instead prototyping some kind of autochess game for mobile, and most of the art team that was on the mobile game are helping out with other projects.
Ethan Butler
I was just thinking about the Pitt surprisingly. Though I doubt it would be interesting without the slave/slaver system from the f3 dlc. And having a somehow worse combat system than 3.
Lucas Turner
if 76 adds fucking slave trading i'd genuinely consider picking it up.
Ethan Butler
yeah I don't care

Will presume that this is legit. If so, sounds as though Outer Worlds stole Starfield's thunder.

I closely follow everything about the game, this is something anyone with two brain cells can make up as;
>new settlers hail from pitt, the setting of Pittsburgh and pitt always come up during gameplay >there was an AMA 3-4 days ago with devs, they literally said BoS stuff and out of bounds map stuff were coming
fag just mixed and matched relevant info, Pitt might happen but smart money is on Ohio as its way easier and no ones doing whole paid content packs fuckos this is 2020 get with the times
Joshua Phillips
>how to monetize 76 dumb niggers already bought the game, paid for fallout first, probably bought some shit cosmetics from the atom store, and they STILL want more money?
fuck todd
Jack Myers
I'd be happy with snapmap coming back to Eternal. Seemed strange that they spent so much time hyping it up and updating it in 2016 only to just throw it all away in Eternal.
Daniel Davis
>The mobile Elderscrolls game shit the bed Well yeah. You gouge the player WAY way too hard to do prettymuch anything. >Fallout 76 Wastelanders was a big step in the right direction but the game isn't what i'd call back on track. Hope this new map is good. Appalachia is the best map yet.
Luke Rivera
>smart money is on Ohio Ohio is too existentially dreadful for Fallout.
Josiah Myers
i don't give a shit. let me know when there's another trainwreck with this shitfuck game so i can laugh at it
Samuel Gonzalez
Sadly it's not, it's a small area. It also level scales so you can do it at anytime. There's daily missions there though that feed into some kind of end game loot system.
There were also some brief slides on end game content being added in free patches. I haven't played 76 but it sounded like dungeons in warcraft, complete with a group finder tool.
Henry Nelson
what did they look like? any one of the slides?
Justin Gutierrez
if they're stupid enough to buy fallout 76 then they're stupid enough to buy fallout 1st. they will also be stupid enough to buy microtransactions, and those same people will be stupid enough to buy starfield which will be equally if not even more shit than fallout 76 was.
this is all being driven by the consumer. they are saying its ok to pay top dollar for low quality video games. which is why people who are passionate about high quality video games get fucking pissed when retards buy into shit like this and DEFEND it because they're retards.
All the slides were just a picture of a sign that says "Welcome to Pittsburgh" with the burgh crossed out and standing in front of it is a guy in power armor that I think is brotherhood of steel. All the slides were just text over that image.i wasn't really looking at it either, just listening with it in the background while I worked. I really only wanted to hear news about the upcoming games, and was kinda tuned out during the fallout part.
