on the other hand the game is about breaching illegal aliens hideouts, basically ICE simulator
>10/10 gameplay
>Breach,clear room,breach clear room
>Same fucking rooms and missions
Cmon
>Game about humanity's last ditch total war resistance against an alien invasion
>"Why isn't it entirely white men despite this series never having been entirely white men"
Can you cockroaches go to your containment board and stay there?

play the game before shitposting tranny
I'm not OP but I kind of liked the shorter and faster paced stages... for a while
The last mission shows the majority of problems of only having 4 units, I can't see anyone winning without the healer unit.
That being said, I liked that every unit felt more unique than the classes do in x-com 1 and 2.
If they could remove the breach mechanic entirely and make the missions more fast paced and dynamic like in this one it'd be for the best.
I thought I wouldn't like the turns being determined by unit but I liked the ability to deny an enemy turn. I can see it being a problem in the long run with the focus being shifted to units with larger speed to immobilize units.
He's probably talking about the others before this one.
It's the best it's ever been since UFO
nobody complained that the others "weren't entirely white men"
>Game ends with Agents death
All characters in CS will be canon and will appear in NuXcom 3
T.tinfoil hat
Gameplay was fine. But it needed more to do or at least let you get more than 4 on the mission. You have 11 members of the team, you only get 8 of them in the game (outside of mods) and can only deploy 4. Shit was dumb.
don't pretend like you even played it zoomer shitstain.
game is fun but ridiculously shit writing and pretty buggy. definitely worth $10 for more xcoom
I'm liking it so far. Just completed one of the three branches and it was a HUGE difficulty spike considering i haven't even had time to research better weaponry yet. Though the worst part was not having anything special for bringing their leader in alive. I feel like there should have been some kind of reward for that besides another 20% chance for some intel.
>The enemy who killed millions and use us as slaves is outnumbered and outgunned, what should we do?
>Let's be friends
Please tell me that there is good explanation
Why are white people so entitled?
>writting
Writing, user.
Imagine unironically being white. Umm, cringe?
Huh?
Let me try to explain, Op said:
>Remember white men? Cause i sure as hell don't miss them
That is to infer that Chimera squad's focus is in diversity and the other games were filled with just white men.
While x-com 1 and 2 had people from different nationalities, skin colors and genders in the same squad from the get go.
Do you understand now?
I wish we could play as triangle man
White people bad
Black people good
Alien good
No, not really.
only being able to recruit 8/11 squaddies per game is dumb and bringing in enemies unconscious, especially faction leaders, having no bonus besides capped 20 intel sucks.
How is it actaully, i was going to buy it but an anime sort of xcom game (similar sort of gameplay) came out the day before it and i got that instead.
gameplay is really good, story is better than you'd expect, breaching and staggered turns are fun and fresh, character writing and banter is fucking garbage cringe. I'd give it a 7/10
>but an anime sort of xcom game (similar sort of gameplay) came out the day before
Name?
The story is meh and the writting goes from meh to really bad. The gameplay is addictive, breaching is actually fun.
if you become friends you can show them the right path
Maybe that the vast majority of them were slave soldiers modified by the Etherals and with the death of the Etherals they're finally free.
It's alright
Gameplay is fun and I personally like some of the characters.
Some other characters are legitimately cringy , but it's easy to ignore because they don't really talk much in game.
It ain't X-com but it scratched that itch for me.
It's this one:
store.steampowered.com
Just ignore the dialog, it barrely appears anyways. It's super fast paced compared to other games, since it has less focus on base building and soldier management your downtime between missions is very small.
The breach mechanic you'll either love or hate, I still don't know how to feel about it.
Stop using "writting" ESL-Kun.
It's writing.
I'm really annoyed in a game that's supposed to be about showing humans and aliens can cooperate there are only three actual 'alien' squadmates, and two hybrids that look the same with the rest being vaguely dark-skinned humans. Where's my fucking Andromedon or Codex squaddie?
Germs and ruskies slaughtered each other and now they are "friends". Why?
A Codex running as AI support back at base would be cool, especially if they served as a sort of encyclopedia for everything that happened since 2 ended. Kind of like the Zion library from the Animatrix.
Troubleshooter Abandoned Children.
Xcom style batles, rpg stats and levels, diablo loot stats, tamable monsters, craftable drones.
Takes a bit to rev up though.
>First episode
Is it a full fledged game or a cliffhanger after 20 hours of gameplay type of episode?
no
I guess including nignogs and pajeets was more important.
I heard you can fuck snakes in XCom. How much of that is true?
Don't know to be honest mate. Im 9 Hours in and have only just got my 3rd team member and unlocked crafting.
They took the game concept and didn't realise any of its potential in their blinded attempt to push the cultural marxist narrative hard.
>recruit big explosive guy
>first thing he does does is talk about fucking curry
WOW SO BRAVE AND PROGRESSIVE INDIANS = CURRY HAHAHAHAHHAAA DID YOU KNOW HE IS INDIAN? THAT'S ALL THAT IMPORTANT NOT ANY DEPTH JUST HE INDIAN AND LIKE CURRY LMAOOOO
Shitposts aside, heres what I think of chimera squad so far
1) The combat is good. It mixes elements from the first 2 games and not a single agent feels weak. Some combos suck, but individuals dont.
2) The story is okay. Feels like a saints row meets xcom (minus the juvenile SR humor) in that you're charged with taking down 3 gangs before you can continue to the endboss. I still havnt beaten the game yet though.
3) Research is still there, but simplified. Most big upgrades and powerful items usually come as mission rewards or can be bought from the scav market. Agents are also your currency for research projects and upgrade tasks.
4) I like most of the agents. I was expecting a bunch of #woke cringy shit but aside from that one screen grab from the muton, I havnt seen any of that. The light banter between them after missions is usually pretty good.
5) the viper almost definitely has more voice lines than other agents.
6) mod support out of the box, and it seems like it would be easy to port xcom 2 mods.
7) shitloads of enemies. Each gang feels like a whole different monster to take on.
8) canon snek tits. Pic related (left) is a sign outside of a stripclub
I've dumped about 22 hours in and still havnt beat the game, it's worth the 10 bucks.
Don't quote me if you're gonna cry like a bitch. The individual units having their own specialty right off the bat is way better for finding fun synergies between agents.
