Just redownloaded this yesterday hoping that the online would still be alive
Unfortunately it seems not. I fucking loved the online mode of these games.
>There will never be a K&L 3

It's a pleb filter and infuriates retards because it's one of the few examples of an anti-game that actually works.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

K&L2 did a much better job at being an anti-game since reviewers didn't suck it off like they did with the pretentious Spec Ops The Line.
The entire games marketing was about how it's an ugly game that will assault the player to make them feel like shit.
This game was ahead of it's time and it's a damn shame IO can't continue the series since they no longer have the rights.

I liked cops v robbers. And i just accepted the accuracy issues as making the game cinematic like in movies where guns are just sprayed

Aesthetic as fuck

I don't understand why this game got so much shit heaped on it.

>tfw no Kane and Lynch 3 with modern graphics and the handheld art style

I'd love to see a AAA studio do this again.
It'd be a perfect way to help bridge the uncanny valley that some games are in right now where they look so close to realism but still have a ways to go.

The multiplayer was also utterly unique and IO deserves more praise for trying something new on that end and it's a shame nobody ever really tried to copy the game modes elsewhere.

one of the worst things about these kinds of games with online is the fact that you can never revisit them properly.

i would love to go back and play some classic MGO again or some conker's bad fur day multiplayer (though i guess the latter would require finding real people)

Spec Ops is better but I love Kane & Lynch 2

>waaaah the shaky cam make my head hurt
>waaaah the guns arent accurate enough

Yeah, it's a shame.
I was just hoping there'd still be some small dedicated following. The multiplayer mode is quite unique, and I love heist games/films.
If only there was a sequel, or a company could make a spiritual successor.

I will say the only thing I wish the game had was a mode that made it so both enemies and players take shitloads of damage.
Since on hard more gun fights are intense but some enemies are just completely suicidal bullet sponges.

>one of the worst things about these kinds of games with online is the fact that you can never revisit them properly.
Unfortunately the problem with most "Unique" multiplayer games is that either the servers will all go offline at somepoint or the player base dies out.

There's some really cool concepts from last gen especially that are just lost or dead for various reasons because that's when some devs really experimented with different modes to see what would stick and what would flop

Someone needs to remake the Fragile Alliance mode from this
>Add proper rank progression
>Add proper classes/loadouts
>More maps, longer games
If the good aspects of Payday 2 and Kane and Lynch 2 were combind, I think it'd be pretty great

Wasn't that the game the reason Giant Bomb was created?

Damn, I remember watching this shit on repeat in anticipation

That was Kane & Lynch 1

It's not a game that is supposed to be 'liked' you are supposed to experience it. It's fucking amazing.

I also like K & L 1, best Michael Mann inspired game ever. Sadly only 50% of the levels are good, everything after Japan is some Freedom Fighters leftovers bullshit.

I always thought it was interesting how Kane was the protagonist of the first game then Lynch was for the second. Have any other games had the sidekick become the protagonist in the sequel?

Watch a video today of the game and tell me it doesnt looks like shit and that doesnt produce headache with that shitty shaky camera.

Kane and Lynch was alwasy a shit game that somehow got a sequel

I've played the game through multiple times, and played the online modes for over 100 hours. Never thought the shaky cam was bad, never got a headache.

You still end the game with Kane so Lynch was only carrying the torch for a bit lol.

The Japan level is super fucking good you can see why it was the demo for the game

the best sweatshop sweeping simulator

What happened with the rights?
Also, should I buy it?

I thought you played as Lynch the entire game if you did it in singleplayer? I may be mistaken since I haven't played this for at least 9 years.
2 is the one that ends with you running from dogs and getting on the plane right? I remember playing as Lynch while doing that.

i suspect the only reason the media put a red dot on its forehead is antichink narrative (and people invested in stability of chinese market could easily pull strings on collated and colluded media conglomerates)

>guns arent accurate enough
more like accuracy is so retarded you'll be more accurate with any shotgun until you get your hands on the chinese police and swat SMGs
