Worth buying?
I enjoyed the old ones
Yes, get the dlc too
yes
Definitely, it’s a good game and especially fun in coop. It does things differently so you might prefer the older games if you’re more interested in the old combo system over character uniqueness, but as far as characters feeling like the actual characters this game does it the best
Its very different from the old ones. I noticed a ton more grinding and having switch heroes more often. The old ones felt more like Diablo. This one feels like a warriors esq game.
is still 60 bucks?
kinda button mashy and linear compared to the old ones
I haven’t really felt the need to grind at all playing through it with my friends, you probably mean the rifts and shit but even then if you’re going for specific things like the unlockable characters you don’t really need to grind much
>kinda button mashy
So exactly like the older games?
It has wonky character controls, no level scaling and unlike the other games there are no unique NPC interactions or a trivia machine but overall it’s really enjoyable, it was truly amazing to see a proper Marvel universe for the first time in who knows how many years.
First a sequel is practically confirmed.
Based Japan giving the people what they want.
Buy or pirate, at least before Disney ends up selling marvel off if shit hits the senpai this year. Because if it does, this will be pulled off shelves
>Selling the billion dollars per movie company
Nobody cares about comics.
Maybe I'm a weiner then because some if the bosses feel like hitting a brick wall while they bust out a move that takes away half my health. The only rift I grinded on was to get Elektra honestly.
The girls in this game have great asses.
If you like Marvel then this is a god send. It practically has almost every fan favourite that hits a mark. It's post-Fox acquisition, so it's chock full of XMen and the Shadow of Doom DLC adds in FF and secret characters and a new story chapter.
A sequel is practically confirmed now. I just wished they finished and added the cut characters like Valkyrie, Nova pand Cosmo.
The bosses in this game is definitely some shit, more complicated and changes the gameplay up more than the older games for sure, but it's more about learning the boss than grinding to the point where you can just walk through them. The game really wants you to use the best of the mechanics like dodging, but also boss specific mechanics like the shield stones
Doctor Strange is usually the wall block. Was forced to do some rifts and level a bit.
Generally that's the only answer or replaying sections for more XP.
You seem clueless as to what has been going on. Disney has had 80 Billion dollars wiped from their market cap and have been losing 40M$+ a fucking day since March. Premium Investors holding essential stock has been pressuring the company to sell off assets to offset the loses. If they don't listen, they'll all begin to dump it which would cause a circuit breaker. Everyone is saying star wars will be the first to go since that's the only asset on the negative and is losing money for them. The second is marvel if this continues.
>Billion dollar per movie company
There's a lot of money being passed around to pay back media and studios for their work before pocketing the differences. If this continues and they sell Star Wars, they might end up piecing off, if not, selling marvel outright
Take the original games and bottleneck them to insane proportions.
It's so fucking linear. There's only 4 powers per character. I believe it's because there's like 40+ characters so they had to streamline everyone if there was like only 20 it could have been expanded a bit. But modern autistic audiences would cry for not having their favourite X and Y.
It was too linear and streamlined for me. Wouldn't recommend it for anything but 70% off. You also need all the dlc too.
I've enjoyed the time I've spent on it, and even bought the DLC once it was all released. It's fun, but flawed in several ways. I figured by now it would have a price decrease, and it would be easier to recommend.
If you have someone to couch co-op it's more worth it. Or if you know someone to play online with. Online with randoms is not a great experience.
This game existence piss off Marvel vs Capcom fans.
>Star Wars & Marvel gets sold
>Bandai-Namco or Sony buys it up
Shit storm would be enormous
Acc to data only Vision, Valkyrie, Bolt and Medusa were planned, there are more than 40 free slots for dlc apart from who all we got but it seems pretty clear it’s all coming in a MUA4 now.
I hope when Nova gets to be playable they get Troy Baker, some of the voice choices are a bit bizarre.
Once you get a grasp on how his attacks work you can deal with him with a team in the early 20s, his moves are nuts but also extremely telegraphed, always try to get behind him and always dodge into the spinning laser bullshit not away.

The real irony here though, is that despite having less powers the characters are more representative of themselves than they've ever been, it's crazy how Iron Man in MUA1 didn't have a single unibeam move that was an actual laser.
The characters have less powers, but their powers are also baked into their basics, which means ranged characters don't need to go do the same uppercut combo wolverine would do.
>70%
>a Nintendo published game
It's almost a year old and hasn't seen a price decrease or gone on sale. 70% will never happen.
They really covered this bases in this game, for whatever reason they left voice files and shit around in the data to ensure they could make literally any npc or enemy in the game playable if they wanted. Which is a shame they didn't go full balls to the wall and make all the villains playable
>Everyone is saying star wars will be the first to go since that's the only asset on the negative and is losing money for them
Yes please.
>The second is marvel if this continues.
Marvel is fucked without Disneybucks to make the movies, though personally I wouldn't care since anything after Endgame is unnecessary. Comics are dying.
>Everyone is saying star wars will be the first to go since that's the only asset on the negative and is losing money for them.
This would save star wars for sure, not even talking about the movies just let us get good star wars games consistently again
The real problem is that the dlc characters invalidate the base game characters. They wanted to make the dlc characters special, so they would give each a base game move or two that would either do something really unique or is a straight upgrade over the base game character. Human torch is a straight upgrade over Ghost Rider. Cyclops, Doom, and Cable are all straight upgrades over characters like Iron Man and Captain Marvel.
Yeah I haven’t explored the gallery much since I’m still in the XMansion portion and like to take my time playing since I love to do this coop but its really impressive, I wonder what’s the deal behind that though. Doubt it’s lack of sales so why didn’t they go through with it in the end
Doom being really strong just lines up with previous games really, I've heard good things about Cyclops(and also play him myself) but I've been told Captain Marvel is still considered one of the top dogs, Cable though I haven't really seen anyone who played with him.
The weirdest thing about the earlier games too is the fact that the characters with so many options are still missing their more iconic things, I mean shit Ghost Rider doesn't even have his bike while he does in this game, or Hulk doesn't thunder clap or how Colossus is made out of paper
>Marvel is fucked without Disneybucks to make the movies, though personally I wouldn't care since anything after Endgame is unnecessary. Comics are dying.
Exactly why they might sell marvel after Star Wars. Back then, when marvel went bankrupt, many Japanese companies actively passed on the opportunity to buy them up like Takara, Bandai, Tatsunoko, and Sony. With selling properties off now a possibility, marvel could sustain themselves with games and toys if one of those companies bought them up.
Just note that if Star Wars is sold, the exclusive contract EA has will be nullified which would save the games for good.
It's possible they were planning something like a pvp mode or a boss mode maybe? Some of the NPCs/Bosses they had lines for in the files couldn't possibly be playable in the base game like Ultimo. While others like Ant-Man, Winter Soldier, Doc Ock and Green Goblin obviously could have
I think you are thinking of Ms. Marvel? I didn't think Captain Marvel was considered great.
Ms Marvel is just a superior costume for Captain Marvel, she was considered the best character at base and still holds her ground, I haven’t seen or got to human torch myself but I believe him being better than ghost rider, he’s usually good. Although the other dlc characters don’t really seem to fit that idea of just being better, like Blade and Moon Knight have their gimmicks but they don’t really seem outright better, Storm fits more roles than Ice-Man etc
