>dae remember zelda

Yup, Miyazaki is a fucking retard

pandering? more like ripping people off by selling the same content you bought years ago

>Anor Londo
>Solaire
>Siegmeyer
>Gwyn
>Asylum Demon
>Andre
>Firelink
>Patches

I clapped, I clapped and cried when I saw old thing again!

I thought that's DQV protagonist from the thumbnail.

>Anor Londo was supposed to be in the desert covered in sand
>scrap it all and just turn the sand white pretending it's snow

>Chock full of DS1 callbacks
>Only DSII refrence (earthen peak ruins) is in the DLC, a zone where everything is a bunch of garbage smashed together in a heap that makes no sense

DS2 Chads win again! Our game stands on it's own!

>NOOOOOO SEQUELS ARENT ALLOWED TO REFERENCE PREVIOUS GAMES

what is storytelling

Dark souls 2 at least tried something differant and failed miserably.

Dark souls 3 is reheated 3 week old pizza and should be destroyed.

>a zone where everything is a bunch of garbage smashed together in a heap that makes no sense
so basically Dark Souls II

oh my god that makes so much sense. The snow even looks like recolored sand.

>>Anor Londo was supposed to be in the desert covered in sand
Source?

Yeah that was amazing. Sorry it was sequel and still most of the lvl is different.

They didn’t even bother to change it in the opening cinematic. You can clearly see Anor Londo covered in sand, not snow.
That being said I think I actually prefer it being in snow, probably looks better than it ever would have in sand

>can't access the other bonfire in the area
it didn't even pander right

>refined the combat
>has the best bosses in the series by a massive margin
>has the most consistently good bosses in the entire series
DaS3 is BiS, sorry incel, you'll have to find something else to feel special about.

>faggot crown
opinion discarded

I actually wish we would have seen more of the old cathedral and not just the 2 big rooms.

>t. fatty

I never got why people some got so mad about this. Like, it's a sequel. It makes sense for it to reference previous titles in the series, and it wasn't a straight up rip either, so I don't see the issue. At leaste it tried to aknowledge previous entries in the series instead of going the Dark Souls 2 route and just have a game completely unrelated to anything from the first game except a few very minor things.

it has no identify of its own

I was fine with it but the fact that 3 doesn't really have any memorable areas doesn't help

Well it makes sense. Gwyndolin was still there running place for a long time.

It's actually quite interesting to see what Dark Souls 3 originally was originally like

Dark Souls 3 has a lot of fan service, and it made the combat feel a little more like Bloodborne and that's a good thing.

I thought the Cathedral of the Deep, Irithyll, and Lothric Castle were all memorable

probably better than the abortion we ended up with
linear trash

ikr? it's like, they even used things like swords and shields, same as in previous games, literally no "identify" on "its" own, right?

ps: retard

>Top left never made it into the final game
I'll never stop being mad

>completely unrelated to anything from the first game except a few very minor things.
Nothing wrong with this if the game's actually good. In fact, new things are always welcome. On the other hand, reuse of old things for cheap "remember this??" value is pretty boring and disappointing.

Because when DaS2 came out, everyone and their mother memed over Old Dragonslayer
3 pulls the exact same shit and everyone praised it instead
In fact, I'd say a lot of criticism aimed at 2 also applies to 3, such as enemy spam

It was the final game in the Miyazaki souls trilogy (DeS, DS1, DS3) before he completely moved on to other projects, I think it was fine to reference a few things from previous games, as a culmination of the entire series.

...

A bunch of leaked DS3 screenshots from early in the game's development

>It’s another “Anons don’t realize that Concepts and Concept art is not supposed to be used in the final game” episode

Everyone is dumb but me

Those images were leaked screenshots, not concept art

They planned for far cooler shit than what we actually got.

wish they kept the sky like this and not have it be piss yellow

DaS3 was a rushed Bloodborne clone that brought absolutely nothing new to the formula outside of Weapon Arts that are irrelevant because 90% of enemies are easily R1ed to death
That's the issue

To be fair, most of those are in the game one way or another. The most significant difference between those shots seems to be Irithyll (?) judging from that pic with the pontiff knight, which has a bloodborne atmosphere, but the background seems to be lothric castle so maybe they just had the pontiff knights there for some reason. Still, more bloodborne-esque art direction in that picture and the lothric castles pictures in general. I don't really like it that way, but I also don't like the yellow filter we got, wish it was just natural bright colouring like archdragon peak.

And the other one is the farron swamp, which has more lively colours which is probably better than what we got.

I honestly don't understand if people are genuinely bothered by the presence of Anor Londo in Dark Souls 3.
I quite liked its inclusion in the game.

demons's souls was clearly better
