No memorable stages

>no memorable stages

What went so wrong?

Void on Soul Melter EX is the hardest shit if you did it solo.

definitely one of the weakest kirby games of all time. kind of felt like they took the notion of switch having built-in multiplayer and just based the gimmick on that, despite the gimmick being boring as hell for the level design. presentation (menus, etc) is good but that's about all i can say positively. really feels like they were just going through the motions with this one. here's hoping they have more interesting things up their sleeve.

The fact they they wasted the fucking GOD TIER playable character roster on this trite will forever make me mad. And you just know they're never going to bring most, if not all of those guest stars back.

It's still better than roboshit though

Level design leaves a lot to be desired, but it's better if you have at least one person to play with. All of the playable characters were great and the bosses were fun. OST was fucking amazing though. Void Termina is probably one of the best themes in the series.

>when you get sucked in and can feel its beating heart with the HD rumble.

Can they just make a game focused on a good single player experience and not another local coop gimmick?

Robochad is literally the best game to come out after return to dreamland

nah both of the main 3ds games are miles ahead of star allies

Robobot is the best Kirby game.
t. played them all (except Satellaview)

Did you play kirby slide youtube.com/watch?v=os6oGRXedS0

>they pushed this one out so they could spend more development efforts towards the big 3D Kirby game that's coming next!
>their faces when the next game is another lame RtDL clone focusing on multiplayer

What do you think they should do for the next game, I hope they bring back dream friends in some form

The last good Kirby game was Super Star Ultra

It's kinda weird to think we haven't had a proper traditional Kirby game in 3D in the nearly 30 years the series has existed.

Just realized the best game, aka super star ultra, released on my birthday

They should’ve just delayed planet robobot and just put it on switch as a launch title instead of making star allies, heck, with the delay time, it probably would have been even better.

I liked it. Triple Deluxe and this are my two favorite non-Air Ride games. I wanted to like Robobot but I hated the mech mechanic, turned me off really hard.

Yes! I was really close to buying the card and an e-reader off eBay for 50 bucks (major ocd), but then I found out you could use an emulator.
Now I only wish someone will wind Kirby Ball Rally and upload it so I can finally play the satellaview games.

I feel like it showcases why kirby gcn got cancelled, because it was too focused on multiplayer

just use magalor lol

i can see the reasoning. kirby has always been about making a game that is fun and engaging but in terms of challenge targets beginners. navigating 3d is pretty hard for beginners. but i think they can pull it off, i just worry that they'll decide to make the levels be next level baby easy to compensate for beginners having trouble with 3d.

i also enjoyed triple deluxe more than robobot, although i enjoyed robobot a lot too. triple deluxe felt like the perfect standard kirby game in RtDL style to me, whereas robobot felt like something different which was also cool.

>he was born in 2008
Underage b&

Planet robobot would have been a perfect anniversary title, too

It was the opposite case for me, not to say I didn't enjoy triple delux it was still a fine game and playing as dedede instead of metaknight was an interesting change of pace. But I did like robobot and the mech mechanic and playing as meta more than dedede and hypernova.

If they're too scared to go 3D the least they could do is make another 2.5D game where the world is 3D and the 2D plane you play in winds and criss-crosses around like Kirby 64. That space is really untapped. Can't think of really any high quality games like that besides Kirby 64 and Klonoa.

I feel like planet robobot tried to doing something like that with its camera angle switching around, but going full on crystal shards 2.5d would be great

bait.

>You can play as Adeleine

saved.

yeah they did a teeny tiny bit of it in the 3DS games which i appreciated but i want them to go full-on with it. especially with the stereoscopic 3D that would've been a great time to go balls-deep. oh well. 3DS should have seen more 3D platformers in general but that's another topic.

It needed shadow kirby and prince fluff

>shadow kirby
I really wish they built upon him some more

>kirby, but grey
BO-O-RING

Shut the fuck up

DKCTF

it's kirby from another world

He could have a cool moveset with a bunch of the abilities introduced in amazing mirror

It really feels like they had to rush this out because the Switch had nothing but ports in early 2018.
