New game plus is bullshit.
It would've been a great idea to inherit the lil cactuses, costumes and maybe a few chain-abilities, but what's the point of having one or more lvl 70 characters with huge amounts of money from the start? Why would you play that?

How is sage in the remake? Finished my Riesz Hawkeye playthrough, moving on to Kevin Charlotte and thinking my team. I'm wavering back and forth between Kevin/Carlie/Duran and Kevin/Carlie/Riesz

8 hours in and the repetitiveness is getting unbearable.
It's just run from one dungeon to the other, killing everything that moves and looting the same fucking candies and chocolate bars over and over. "Hey a chest, let's see what's in there." "Oh nice, another candy. As if I didn't have a hundred already".
Locations are nice, but towns and villagers feel so lifeless. Some sidequest to give depth to each location would've helped a lot, it would've made them a bit memorable. Now they feel soulless pit stops.

BOTH can work, DL has level 3 element spells that can inflect status, plus a near insta-gib for stuff lower level than her, DD gets Ancient which is effectively Meteor.

It repeatedly spams its attacks at the same time so theres no pattern and the smallest useless safezone
Its cc enemies just heal themselves through form change and fly around dodging spells like a crack addict.

You can apply 21:9 with borderless gaming and adjusting HOR+ via hex editing the game exe. but yeah native support could've got at least a basic implemention.
