What do you think of the Batman Arkham games Yas Forums?
had fun with the first game. cant play the rest of them.
arkham knight gets a lot of shit but gameplay wise it perfected the 'batman experience' (sans batmobile)
I played the first two and I liked them both, desu.
Asylum is kinda buggy tho, the game blackscreens on start up about half the time.
Each entry happen over single nights, from the middle of evening to before dawn. That's about 8~10 hours.
This means that if you can't 100% the games in under 10 hour each, including the side content (beating the Riddler), you're not a very good Batman.
never experienced that on the three builds i've run the game on
there's a crash if you attempt to leave the morgue while physx is on that they never fixed though
asylum > knight > city
Its pure kino my dude.
Origins doesn't get enough credit because it was B-team even though it's better than Batmobile Simulator
Origins was pretty good but it was glitchy as hell and doesn't make sense timeline-wise.
Unironically my favorite games of all time
2 > 1 > 3 incarnate
Good: Driving the Batmobile
Bad: Driving the Batmobile a billion times in story and challenge missions
3 > 2 > 1
I am still so fucking mad that Arkham Knight turned out to be total shit in terms of story and mission design. The visuals and the atmosphere are just amazing and Batman's movement was the tightest in the series.
Asylum > City > Knight
Enjoyed Asylum but never bothered to replay it because combat was uninteresting and game was pretty linear. Still pretty good.
Played City and didn't give a shit about it. Got up to the first joker encounter and just stopped caring. Traveling with a cape is neat but those puzzle rooms from the first game seemed so sparce that I just stopped caring.
Avoided Knight due to the shitstorm and seeing ti was more of City which I just dropped anyways.
It's kind of amazing that the most influential western games were fucking batman games
>Asylum
Pretty good
>City
Amazing
>Origins
It's alright
>Blackgate
No
>Knight
It's also alright
Overall enjoy it
Great games, I thoroughly enjoyed them all and I don'tget the big hang up about the Batmobile in Knight.
I also get a kick out of how many people get filtered by the combat and think it's bad because the cheesed it.
The mission design in Knight kicks ass. Shut the fuck up dumbass.
Batman movies, for the most part, have completely flipped the narrative on superhero movies.
Tim Burtons showed that superhero movies could work and be big hits.
Batman Begins and the Dark Knight showed that superhero movies could be mature and taken seriously.
The Batman Animated series helped revitalize superhero cartoons.
Historically speaking, Batman has been used as a catalyst to seriously show the power of superhero content in entertainment. Too bad Warner Bros are just shitting on it now.
>you can't get the true ending of the game unless you do all the Riddler bullshit """""""puzzles""""""
>liberate x amount of outposts
>chase down y amount of APCs
>Batmobile racetracks to get Riddler trophies
Not that user but it sucked dick
Well Batman is a detective by night and NASCAR racer by day.
The combat is dumpy and honestly not too fun. Stealthing around is fun, but I never liked the straight forward fight segments.
Everything else, however, is fantastic. They really nailed what everyone thinks of when they think of Gotham and Batman.
He said missions, not side quests.
they're the best. only downside they only used fraction of batman characters in them. but other than that all 4 games are good. and also they have lots of bang for your buck. especially in AK the challenges are fun and i like to find out new ways to speedrun them. when you really get the hang of the mechanics you can pull some really fucking awesome moves and it makes you feel like the real cartoon batman, op as fuck.
Good batman simulator/10
>they only used fraction of batman characters in them
All of the big villains make appearances and even obscure c and d list villains get their own easter eggs
Who did they leave out?
You are splitting hairs and putting words into other user's mouth. Instead of playing semantics answer are the Outpost,APC and Races missions shitty?
Yes, the endless slew of tank battles and bossfights being replaced with more tank battles were just as amazing
I wish the writing didn't take a nosedive after city.
Peaked with City, dipped a little with Origins, then fall off a fucking cliff in Knight
Asylum was the only good one
combat is shit for retards, once I can deal with it but they kept the same garbage over 4 games
