It's just the werewolves and Cthulhu shit, with a couple snake niggas out of nowhere.
I don't see why, if they were willing to have that snake shit (which really doesn't fit into their world building at all, in addition to being the weakest section of the game), they couldn't have had some other cool monsters to fight.
Instead all we got are big ugly dogs that swipe at you, most while scooting around on their butt, or big ayylmao-blobs that do nothing interesting.
Even Sekiro has more boss variety, despite most of those being humanoid.

The fuck are you on about? What about Gasoline, The One Reborn, Logarius, chasing Micolash, Mergo’s Wet Nurse, Witches, Gehrman, and all three Pthumerian bosses? None of these fit your description. Plus the ayylmaos are the definition of variety, you have spiders, Ebrietas, the mob blobs, actual ayylmaos such as Amygdala etc. The beasts don’t all have the same moveset, Abhorrent Beast, Watchdog and Amelia are completely different in terms of moveset and appearance
