Atrocious UI's that somehow end up being well liked among autistic people

There is nothing wrong with W1 UI, if anything it's much better than W3 one.

what do you dislike about the ui you posted?

What's wrong with it?

fpbp

The UI was probably the most solid designed thing about Witcher 1 you ultra-zoom betamax onions fuck.

>There is nothing wrong with W1 UI
I can see a few things that are wrong with the W1 UI.
Though I would first like to hear why op thinks it's bad.

It is ugly as fuck? I can get behind the practical aspects of it, but the design looks like dogshit.

every mmo ui, and by extension every "minimalist" mmo ui addon

Yeah it was the most solid designed thing about TW1, because the game absolutely sucked ass, you fat contrarian fuck.

Well, the background flames made of molten plastic could certainly look better.

I agree.
Visually it is an absolute crime.
Also the practicability is questionable in terms of how all the functions and the character are arranged.

But it gets one thing right: it's not a separate window.

It was sorta sucky until the EE when they added the Alchemy bag, then it was great. In terms of visuals, it's great.

MMO-like shit UI

Nothing easier than to download this.

Reminder this game sold a million copies on PC alone in a single year during a financial crisis and had a planned console port and two short expansions coming up

look

>In terms of visuals, it's great.
I would like to see how you dress yourself if you think this UI looks great visually

That's more like it. I'm getting tired of all the minimalist shit in modern games, but this is a solid upgrade

Don't fix what's not broken - the mod

I would like you to explain why you think it looks like dogshit, besides being contrarian.
Does look better to you? Is it just the colors you dislike?

But this fixes the worst part of the UI, namely the visual aspect of it.

Do you honestly just gloss over the bloody barf that fills half the scren?

So the answer is yes, then? So the UI is good but the coloring makes you hate it?

Better UI than the abomination in the sequel

This shit has the colours of a nightclub in a game about medieval Europe. The greenish slimey visuals of the first pic have more to do with witcher poisoning alchemy stuff with that ugly goo in the middle etc.

Witcher 1 has the best UI in the franchise actually

half the functions that clicking/mod+clicking could/should perform are not implemented in this game

*aktschually

The melted flames/orange liquids looks really messy. There's random mechanical/metalic bits in the design, which makes no sense at all. The colors are extremely ugly. It's hard to describe, but it looks like something a 12 year old would draw if you told him to draw a "cool" interface.

2nd one is streamlined beyond belief, has neon lights and the daytime selection module is dogshit ugly compared to the OG. Literally changing shit just for the sake of it.

>the colors of a nightclub
What the fuck are you talking about? It's mostly dark, and some of the colors pop a bit more, but actually has somewhat of a consistent style. The original just takes random bits of stock art thrown together with an absolute shit combination of colors. You actually have to be fucking blind to think the original UI looks good.

The daytime selection module in the original UI doesn't even reflect the fucking game. It's just stock footage. At no point in the game does anything look like the images in that selector. At least in the modded version it's just simplistic. Maybe it's boring, but at least it fits in with the rest of the UI, let alone the game itself.

Empty dark space, neon lights... yeah if this is what you want from a medieval RPG go play the sequels they pander to your tastes

Guess I'm not an Autist then, because I always despised these type of UIs in early '00s and '10s

Where's the fucking neon lights, bud? And what the fuck does the absolute dogshit looking orange shit in the original UI has to do with anything in the game? It doesn't look like anything magical, and it doesn't look medieval, so why the fuck is it there? And how does the puke-green background relate to the rest of the game, other than the game itself being vomit-inducing?

Are you literally making random shit up as you go? In OG each daytime is represented by its real life equivalent, in the mod they are just gay little drawings an autistic kid in kindergarten could draw. 1st is more immersive and artistic as well. Literally no reason to change it other than what you said - to fit in with the rest of the shit heap that is the mod. I won't respond to your swearing outbreaks one would expect from an autistic child with Tourette's

But as I said, the real life equivalent does not match the game in any way. At no point in in the game does it ever look like those pictures. It's literal stock images. It is not more artistic, as there's no art, it doesn't match the rest of the UI or the game for that matter. Maybe the drawings are plain and boring, but at least it fits in with the rest of the UI. Faggot.
