I just can't do it anymore. I'm 12 hours in. Just met the beast mask tribe to ask about the powers of the nethacite stone. Larsa showed up and we're going somewhere.
When the fuck does this game get good? It's just incredibly boring so far. Half the cast doesn't even care about what the fuck is happening. Balthier is constantly dismissive of everything. Vaan, Penelo and Fran aren't related to what's happening at all. Basch doesn't seem to evolve beyond the "i'll defend my homeland" mentality. The only character that seems well written so far is Ashe who actually has to face dilemmas and make decisions.
It doesn't get better, that's the whole game. You're never given real context for anything and you're never given any reason to care about the characters or their motivations. Fans try to play this off as the story being too subtle for plebs but the truth is the game is a dry toast sandwich with a glass of nothing.

>amerimutt plebs filtered by the best FF

I like the plot, the characters are indeed meh, but Ivalice is best best FF setting ever, so I don't even care about the lame stuff. But no, it's doesn't really any get more "engaging" then this. If you didn't like it so far, I suggest you drop it.
Joshua Walker
Never. I played like 30 hours before I gave in. It's just a jogging simulator
Aaron Mitchell
Anyone play it since the update came out?
Daniel Bailey
>When the fuck does this game get good when i get to tchita uplands and i can grind malboros for sick AP
Jordan Fisher
set the speed to 4x or whatever it is that Zodiac allows and power through. The final act is alittle more interesting.
Game on the whole isnt great though
Elijah Hill
it adds a job reset thing at Montblanc, it's pretty useful if you messed your builds but re-buying all licences takes like an hour in the slow ass menu. two new gambit sets for each character, so you can change configuration on the fly, also useful but nothing essential. and they dropped denuvo
Balthier is basically Han Solo but has the personality of a cardboard. When Fran got knocked out at the end of the game, he doesn't even show the slightest emotion and just casually picked her up and drag themselves to safety. Fucking cardboard character to the every end. Would Han Solo be a lovable character if he is has little emotional range and he just shrugs it off if Chewie get hurt? Fuck no.
FF12 fags raved about FF12 because of what it could have been, not because of what it is. FF12 fags tend to be a bunch of old miserable manchildren who hate anime and go around calling people weeaboo.

It's just a boring ass game. Losers on gamefaqs used to meme each other with "you have to play the game for at LEAST 20 hours before it gets good" when it was new. But it never really does. It's a boring game comprised mostly of repetitive hunts, grinding and automation. You are a fool for having played it at all.
Jaxson Cooper
should i get this or trails of mana remake
Benjamin Rogers
It doesn't. If you don't like it yet, you won't like it in another ten or twenty hours. I tried many times to play it because it was one of the only FF titles I hadn't completed, but I continually dropped it until eventually forcing myself to play an hour every day until I finished it. I regret it, because I at least had some hope that it eventually got good, but now I know it doesn't and it's just slow and lame. The PC edition has speedup features which probably make the game slightly more tolerable. The music is the best part. Ashe's design is nice too.
Anthony Peterson
it depends, how much of a weeb are you?
Christian Evans
I've tried playing this game 3 times now. Once sober. I still have no idea what the plot is.
8 sure, but 7 and 9 are far and beyond better games, especially 9.
Jace Williams
If you don't like it now, you won't like it later. You obviously got filtered by the themes of the game, but it's okay, just stick to more childish stories with no form of ambiguity in them
Colton Moore
Nice, thanks. Supposed to be 60fps now too?! Awww daaamn
Christian Foster
>poorly paced story that's intentionally drawn out to be as long as possible for marketing >"ambiguous story"
Aiden Young
lol that's the same spot i quit on my 2 first attempts at the game. i did eventually beat it 100% and i'm glad i did, now it's one of my favourite ff's. so yes, it does get 'better' but the secret is that it's already good
Joseph Barnes
i'm like 99% cause i didn't do the bestiary thing
Justin Ortiz
All i see in your post is you being filtered, don't cry.
