I finished the game and still don't know how swordplay and combos work. I just did every mandatory fight using the cinch clutch.
But I did git gud at archery and its quite satisfying to play mostly stealth archer.

combos were some of the clunkiest shit in the game. Unnecessary against low-tier enemies and impossible to use against skilled enemies because they barely let you chain 3 strikes, little less 5 for the advenced combos. Mastering the riposte was the real deal, though
